In the room, the lamp on the wall was falling apart and hit me on the head as I slept. The towel rack by the sink fell off the wall multiple times. The tub spigot was loose. The walkways were very uneven and sloppily patches with cement. I will not be staying there again!

Mariner has a very high sanitation score rating for breakfast buffet. The new section seemed to be what we were expecting but was put in the old building .... lots of issues that was not addressed by management. We were sorry we booked two days and will cancel our stay in October.

We needed an affordable place for two nights in Nags Head before we headed to our rental in Hatteras Island, and the Mariner was the perfect spot to enjoy a cheap beachfront stay. We booked a queen suite that was worn but very clean and comfortable overall. We loved being right on the beach and enjoyed the sunset views over the sound.

Good: location, few steps to beach Food: decent Continental breakfast Annoying Our room was street facing. They put glass wall for view,I guess. But the blinds didn't cover it well. There was harsh light at night. Occasional smoke/weed smell.

Staff was friendly but when we arrived the room that we booked was not cleaned, we reserved for a ocean view but the were given another room with a kitchen but the condition of the room was terrible, the tub paint was coming off, tile was dirty, the was a big hair on top of the bedroom nightstand.
