Our luxury Beachfront estate has 4 beachfront one-bedroom suites and a garden view two-bedroom Ohana. Each suite has a private entrance, separate living room, full kitchen and is like having your own condo at the beach in Maui. This special place is hidden behind a private, double gated entrance, lined with 700 ft of lighted coconut palms that lure you into the feeling of leaving the world behind. But is still centrally placed in Kihei nearly all of the amenities you might desire. BBKM 2013/0002



The Space:

The Honu Suite at Aloha Aku is adorned with original turtle (Honu) artwork, designed to inspire tranquility and relaxation during your stay. This spacious suite is perfect for up to two adults and two minor guests per bedroom, providing an ideal base for exploring the island or enjoying a peaceful retreat. If you're bringing children 13 years old or younger, please seek pre-approval before booking.

Enjoy the lightly traveled beach right in front of Aloha Aku, often feeling like your own private paradise. Part of the lawn stretching out towards the beach is county-owned and open to the public, but the protected wetlands beside us help create more privacy and a sense of seclusion. Each suite includes a private entrance, separate living room, full kitchen, and air conditioning, offering the comfort and convenience of a home away from home. Modern conveniences include free high-speed Wi-Fi, designated on-property parking, flat-screen HDTVs with DirecTV in the living room and bedroom, and key code access for all entries. Wander across the grassy reserve to spot turtles on the sand or take a kayak out to see them swimming. A gas barbecue is available on-site for guest use.

Located in the heart of Kihei, Aloha Aku is just twenty minutes from the airport and within easy walking distance of groceries, shopping, restaurants, bars, car rentals, dive shops, and more. Despite its central location, the property offers a secluded, tranquil environment.

Nestled behind a double-gated entrance and lined with 700 feet of lighted coconut palms, Aloha Aku creates an ambiance of exclusivity and relaxation. Beautiful slice of paradise. We stayed in the Hono Suite and had everything available to us that we could imagine. Yes, everything! Sandy beach access right out the covered patio doors with a front seat sunset view. The whales breaching, slapping their tails, and their blow spouts could be seen across the water as well as. Centrally located to get to either side of the island easily. Nearby shopping and restaurants. Easy access with gate and door codes, after I re-read the instructions for the gates. Make sure you read all the way through your instructions as I only scanned them. Thank you for supplying a wonderful place to rent. Mahalo

Easy and Has Everything for an Enjoyable Stay

I can't say enough how lovely and EASY it was to stay at Aloha Aku. From stocking each fridge w/drinks, fruit, and homemade baked goods, to having on hand EVERYTHING (bicycles, surf/paddle boards, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs & umbrellas, tennis rackets, movies, books, games...) you could want for a fun trip, this rental is spot on. The apartment itself was immaculate and well-stocked. The towels and linens were great, the bed was comfy, the Keurig was appreciated... I could go on and on. If you are like me and spend HOURS angsting over which vacation rental will be "just right", I can tell you that if you think this one looks good--go with your gut. It is better than it even looks in pictures and sounds in the description! Protip: The Maitais at Nalu's (just up the street in the shopping center) with their macadamia nut/rum foam are the bomb! :-)

Beautiful Place

My husband and I really enjoyed the condo and property! It was unusual not to meet the owners and have actually no contact with them. But, everything was ready for us and we received a lovely bottle of wine, card, and treats from Charlene and Gary for our anniversary. It was a very nice gesture and we really appreciated it! Thank you so much! We chose this place because of the tranquility and quietness it mentions. Also, no children policy. We love kids but, being a teacher, some quietness was desired and was one of the choices we wanted when reserving a place. Unfortunately there were some early am screeching from a young child and bangs above us a couple days. But, that is very minor to the picturesque and charming place. We will reccomend your charming retreat to all our friends!

This Place is Amazing

My wife and I stayed at this property for our 10th wedding anniversary. We split our trip up 4 nights in Kanapali and 4 nights in Kihei. I have told all of my friends and anyone who ask for a place to stay in Maui about Aloha Aku. It is truly the most relaxing getaway you could ask for. The journey begins when you drive up he long driveway and this magnificent property opens up at the end. It only gets better from there. We chose one of the rooms on the end. This in my opinon was the best. The patio opens up to the waves crashing on the beach. This property exceeded all of my expectation. If you are lucky enough to be traveling to Maui and find yourself in Kihei than stay in one of the 4 ocean front rooms. The only downside (if that is possible) was that the beach was far more windy than our stay in Kanapali. Also the water in Kihei was not nearly as clear as the beach in Kanapali. Other than that if you are looking to reconnect and relax look no farther.

Love this property’s location right on the beach and small condo set up! My only recommendation that would improve our sty more would be to limit it to no guests under 13 (right now it requires management approval I think). Towards the end of our stay one of the other four units had a child in who could be heard at times especially since the plunge pools, common kitchen area, and room walls are not the most soundproof. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.

Miss it already!

A+ location, staff, property! First time staying in Kihei for us, and it feels like a world away from the craziness of Ka’anapali. Such a treat to enter the gates of this beautiful estate and drive up to a beautiful home. The Times market is a 5 minute walk. The unit was clean, large, and very well equipped. We spent many hours on the lanai listening to the waves, the birds, and the breeze, and it was a great hub for exploring the central and south side of the island. The beach literally in the backyard is so convenient (unfortunately conditions were not good for swimming due to an offshore storm for half of our trip) and we went for walks most mornings. Everyone we met on the property was very friendly and helpful. We only had one minor issue that was resolved quickly. The bed and sofa (for sitting, didn’t try the pull-out) were very comfortable and the ac worked well. Can’t wait to come back!

It was my first time to Maui, and knew we wanted to stay in Kihei from talking to people that travel there frequently. We couldn’t have picked a better property! Right on the beach, private, and just overall a great location. The property owners were very easy to work with. Jose, which I believe was the grounds keeper, was very nice and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this place!

Magnificent Maui Vacation

Awesome private vacation home! Everything from booking to leaving was seamlessly and stress free. By far the most amazing part is the property itself, your own personal oasis. I came here for a week with my mom and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better place to stay. The view and the beach are amazing! The property, suites and common areas are immaculately maintained. The staff and owners are very welcoming and helpful. The suites are stocked with anything you could ever need. We appreciated that it offered equipment for anything you could possibly want to do at the beach....from beach chairs, to towels, life jackets, paddle boards, snorkels, frisbees, boogy boards, kayaks and more! There was a wide selection of books and DVDs to use in the library for those relaxing times. The beach in front of the property was incredible and quiet. We spotted turtles near the shore every day that we were there! If you are looking for a busier beach, they are just a short drive away. Coffee shops, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance as well. I can not say enough great things about our stay at the Aloha Aku!

Our smoke alarm woke us at 2 am saying that there was smoke in the kitchen but there was nothing wrong. The rate we paid was higher than our original quote. It would have been great if the whirlpool had hot water. Other than that everything was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed the property.

Perfect location!

This was our first visit to Hawaii and we couldn't have had a better place to spend it. Within walking distance to everything you might need (Supermarket, restaurants, wine & beer store) and the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay the best it can possibly be. The beach was about 50 steps away across lush, soft grass. Plus you can't beat the view! We spent 10 amazing days & nights here and are already trying to figure out when we can go back. Aloha Aku is a tranquil piece of paradise! Away from the crowds of other visitors, steps to the beach, well stocked with supplies for the beach! Generous rooms and patio... You do have to share the outdoors with ducks, frogs and turtles! We are looking forward to our next visit.
