This was a total last minute find and WOW did Douglas House impress. This two bedroom suite was perfectly located and appointed. And the HUGE wrap-around balcony was the perfect spot to take in Duval St. Far enough away so it's quiet, but two blocks to walk to the action or to the water.

Douglas House is in a great location, I stayed across street from main building and the room was very clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Room was on 2nd floor, which I knew and hotel confirmed with me as there are no elevators- it was 2 flights (almost 20 steps up) with luggage but worth it for the room and common balcony. Pool area was lovely with lush foliage and sitting areas, nice little pool and complimentary coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

Old homes in historic downtown area are sectioned into individual apartments with deck and porch areas. Nice complex of neighboring homes with a beautiful small pool and garden seating areas. Our apartment was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Douglas house is a unique property that is a series of older homes converted to rental suites. It has a lovely courtyard in the back of the property with a small pool, lounges and tables. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Room 1 was adequate, but toilet needs an upgrade and towels definitely could be thirstier. Property is very convenient to Duval St. and all points in the old town are walkable from this property. If you want a boutique experience in an older property rather than a big hotel experience, this property is for you.
