Overlooking Salt-water Lagoon- Free Golf Cart + 2 Kayaks

Our Coastal Cottage is completely renovated and overlooks the Salt Water Lagoon located at the heart of Key Largo MM 100 in a gated community (Kawama Yacht Club) with 24 hr security.

Kawama is a 24-acre complex surrounded by three sides by John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, known for some of the best Scuba diving and snorkeling in all the keys.

The property amenities include a saltwater lagoon with a small sandy beach and two heated swimming pools.

The property has an onsite marina with a boat ramp that gives guests ocean access via a deep water channel to some of the area's best fishing, snorkeling, diving, and sandbars. Other amenities include boat trailer parking, playground, outdoor BBQ areas, and tennis courts.

Guest can fish, kayak, or snorkel the Ocean via our rock jetty. Two kayaks with life vests and paddles available to guests.

Nice property and complex.

Good security, fun golf cart to see everything in a few minutes, nice place to swim in the lagoon. Be sure to go out at night with flashlight to see the critters in the water. There are some huge spiny lobsters and lots of sergeant majors. We also had a huge iguana on our roof outside the main bedroom. Her/his name is lizzy. Overall, lots to do! Recommend highly.

Wonderful stay

Overall an excellent stay. Perfect weather, sunny and breezy. Love the proximity to the pool and lagoon. Beds were comfortable, ceiling fans throughout. Wish the back bedroom had more air flow, no windows and door didn’t open. Very friendly people staying there and many good eateries within 15 minutes. Golf cart came in handy, although a little rickety, worked great. All the comforts of home and well equipped. Just great! Don’t hesitate to book. We were two couples and there was plenty of room.

Beautiful but a little small

The property was lovely. It was a great location and the neighborhood had great amenities. My only issue was that while it slept 6, there wasn't 6 seats at the dining table nor 6 places to sit in the living room. I would expect all aspects of a property to fit the same number of people that can sleep there.

Such a nice property with great amenities! Property was newly updated and very clean and had everything we needed. Traveled with 2 kids and a grandparent and we were very comfy and had plenty to do during our stay! Loved all the fish in the lagoon and enjoyed the fire pits by the beach on the evening. Wonderful comfortable stay, highly recommend!

Great spot!

We had a wonderful stay. The spot is great - overlooking the lagoon was lovely at night sitting on the porch after getting kids to bed. Beds are comfortable and the place is very clean and seems recently updated. Lots of appliances (Keurig, toaster, washer/dryer, grill, etc) and pool noodles/kayaks were great. We love being able to use a golf cart at Kawama to get around, see the ocean, easily get to the larger pool, etc. This is the second year we've stayed at Kawama and hope to return every year!

Great location on the lagoon at Kawama. We enjoyed our stay, but unit needs a few issues addressed. Comfortable but squeaky beds; the lighting in the main living area could use a dimmer switch and you can’t turn on the ceiling fan without all the ceiling lights coming on. Loved the grill on the porch.

New annual tradition

Beautiful location and owner is very responsive and accommodating. The cleanliness and aroma of the home was so inviting. Very safe option for small children. Balcony screened in lanai is very secure makes for a comfortable stay. All the pool and lagoon accessories were a huge bonus making our stay so much fun! Almost forgot to mention golf cart for getting around. You won't regret booking! Thank you Andy

Wonderful Stay, Great Vacation

We had a great stay at this condo. It was a comfortable stay for a family of 5. Very clean, comfortable beds, close to restaurants. Right outside the condo is a man made pond to Kayak on, absolutely perfect for my 10 yr old son- he loved it. The John Pennecamp State Park is really close by with very affordable Paddle Boarding and Snorkeling excursions. There isn’t any beach access inside the community, but we didn’t need it. We had a great stay, super enjoyable. Oh, and the property manager was very responsive 😊

Beautiful and super clean home! Our family had the best time and honestly we can’t wait to book this home again! So many fun things to do within the community, kayaking and snorkeling in the saltwater lagoon only a few steps out of the back door. Everything we needed was provided by the owner, Andy who was wonderful and very responsive. And, it was only a short drive to Islamorada!

Very accommodating and just as described

Communication was superior which I always really appreciate. I was easily able to shoot a text and get a quick response with any question we had. The home was very clean upon arrival and we appreciated the little touches. This is a well equipped rental and has everything we needed. We loved taking the kayaks around the lagoon and enjoyed the pools. It was very quiet too, most people in the neighborhood didn’t get up and going u til after 8am and everything was nice and quiet at night. Over all we had a wonderful stay and appreciate the accommodations here.
