Wired smell, and run down room's floor. Horrible!

Not the hotel I expected. The location is good, but the hotel was dated and old. Next the best 5-star hotel, it seemed like a weird thing to live in this hotel. This hotel was way small and the rooms spacious but not clean, the floor attachments were off and they put the type on the crake, it looked so terrible since you passed through the area lots of times. Remind you of the level you live in. Their bathroom had bad smells, the toilet did not allow you to throw the bathroom tissue into the toilet can. What a shock, just like China's low life standard, everything was not dissolvable, hurting their pipe system. Boy, they need to update and improve their bathroom and the toilet paper. No wonder so smelly inside. Anyway, disappointing, to be fooled by their online review, staying for three days was too long. Book aother, please. :<<<<<<<<<

A decent hotel

We were very happy with our stay. Friendly staff, clean room, free parking , within walking distance to the barbour area and other spots of interest. Good value for the room rate.

Glad to have discovered this hotel

In all honesty. I was skeptical about the quality of the hotel at first based on the appearance from the outside and was proven wrong. The hotel is decent with clean rooms and is spacious. Location is good, just outside is the hanshin shopping center and is walking distance to glory pier and love river. Plenty of good food nearby. Service staffs are available until 11pm after which you may call them if you need any assistance. They are responsive and helpful. The rates are one of the cheapest in the district and definitely worth staying.

Staff doesn't speak English and black hair could be found everywhere in the room. Behind the window was a wall so no view. The walls of the room looked terrible with wholes and cracks.

It is a good location, the staff is nice, the breakfast ok. Internet is very fast. the walls have a lot of marks and the room a little bare however it is big. For two nights I did not want to ask to change room maybe they have nicer rooms which were not available.

We are staying at the Lion King for various times. In this review, I would like to talk about their breakfast. It is quite basic but one thing we like is their various vegetable dishes. If you wish to try different vegetables cooked in local style, here you go.

Value for Money

Room is clean & staff is friendly. It is a budget hotel within our expectation. The hotel is closed to the 205 bus route which takes you to Kaohsiung Station and Dream Mall. The closest stop to the hotel is Xintian Road Intersection 新田路口. It is about 5 minutes walk to the hotel. There are a lot of shopping within a 7 minutes walk from Xintian Road Intersection stop close to the Central Park direction. If they price is the same, I would love to stay again at this hotel.
