If you're looking for a unique stay that can't be matched by local hotels, this is the place. Make sure to read about the history of this interesting historic building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Make sure to stop into the beautiful bar room for some of Belvoir's delicious wines. Know that there aren't any other food offerings but a pre-packaged charcuterie tray. This was good and enough for 2+ people to enjoy. Also make sure to explore the comfortable commons areas and stop into the little museum room and say Hi to George. We stayed in "Lucky Pierre". The rooms are named after the winery's wines. Our room was a good size with a view out the front, large bathroom, sitting area & small closet. The bed was soft and I thought it was comfortable. The room did have the usual hotel amenities but did seem a bit stark without wall decor or added color pops. Before you leave, you may also want to look around the grounds and the other abandoned buildings that make up the historic site.

Not a serious hotel. It is clearly a wedding venue trying to make some extra bucks renting rooms out. But without a regular employee (no employees on site until 3pm on checkin day, check in at the bar, "attendant" only being on site in the morning (and I feel lucky to have run into him instead of knowing he'd be there)), it felt more like an AirBnB'd apartment than inn/hotel. We had what was called the "romantic suite" but I don't know how anyone could be that confidently given that the bed was incredibly creaky and uncomfortable. The water pressure was great and bathroom was overall the best part of the room. It's an old renovated building, so it would go back and forth between humid stale air and cold air that blasted onto the bed so you're flipping. You don't have any control over the thermostat. Lastly and what really made me think this was an unserious establishment, was that I came back around 11pm and parked in the inn parking behind the building. As I got out, I noticed out of my peripheral that a sedan was rolling slowly towards me with its lights off. This is obviously incredibly concerning when walking at night in a secluded and low-lit area. Someone poked out of the window and I asked "are we good?" which had an indiscernible response to which I said "It's very creepy to have you rolling up at night without lights" and that response was "it's my job" so some kind of rinkadink security in an unmarked personal vehicle was doing rounds. Not a serious hotel.

An amazing historic property that sprawls a massive acreage. Incredible architecture that has been lovingly restored by the people who operate the hotel/winery. If you love historic homes or restorations, it’s a must-stay hotel. Close to Liberty’s historic downtown, it was part of what made a great weekend. Tons of hot water and great shower pressure too plus a friendly staff.

Beautiful place! When you enter the property, you go up a long driveway, the grounds were well kept and there were gazebo/trees in the middle yard. It gave "Haunting at Blythe Manor" vibes. The inn itself is very pretty. At night, they light the exterior. Check-in was easy, staff was welcoming. I wish there was more info/hype around the haunting history that the inn has. I saw they were featured on ghost hunting shows. I'm terrified of ghosts, but was nervously excited for haunting experiences. I read about a real skeleton being in a closet but never got any info there. They had info on the back of their menus at the bar, but I never went back into the bar after check-in (I am in recovery). I stayed at the Driskill Hotel in Austin and they had pamphlets on the history and haunting incidents that happen/locations in the hotel so you can check them out. There was a sense of eeriness here at Belvoir but could be marketed more to their advantage. I read they do seasonal things during the fall but would be cool year-round! Only negative: Room was stuffy (they have AC, but no fans), and when we got back from the baseball game, it was too warm and the thermostat was locked at 70 degrees which would be fine, but it definitely felt warmer. But I called the number and the innkeeper came right away (it was 11pm)! He moved us to a new room that was good temp and was very accommodating/friendly! We only got to stay 1 night but we will be back and hope to get some haunting! THANK YOU!

Clean rooms. A little older than the pictures look. Rooms were temp controlled and couldn’t be adjusted lower for sleeping so it got very hot and stuffy in the middle of the night.

Everyone should check out this place! It's very cool and a little creepy, definitely a fun time! We loved exploring the place and the bartender at the winery was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were a breeze but do note that if you're getting there later than the winery closes then you'll need to make plans. The only thing that marred out visit was the employee driving the Telsa. Not sure I've ever encountered such an incredibly condescending angry man in my life. Had it not been for the early check-out policy we would have left 5 minutes after encountering him. Luckily we didn't see more of him later in our stay; too bad someone like that feels the need to accost guests in that manner.

After a long day of travel, o needed a clean & quiet place to sleep & hopefully have a meal. Check-in was unclear but ended up being in the bar. There was a packaged charcuterie board I could purchase, otherwise, I had to ask for directions for places to eat (no info in the room, unlike usual accommodations which supply that). I repeatedly asked for clearer directions reminding the bartender im not from around the area. Myself & another guest were next door to one another & the walls were paper-thin. He may as well have been on his phone sitting beside me. I went to find someone to ask if I could be moved - by then it was 10pm. Thankfully I was and got a good sleep and left 1st thing in the AM. The grounds are odd, looks like an old sanitarium.

The staff was extremely helpful and answered any questions about the grounds. The building itself has a fascinating and spooky history with a literal skeleton in the closet. The wine was also worth trying and everything that I tried was delicious.

Wow - this is quite the building. The history is an amazing story and the relics they have on display are fascinating. Make sure that you find George the Skeleton. Rooms are huge and super comfortable.

Check in was in the wine tasting room and took 2 seconds. he efficiently told us the best way to get up to the third floor where overnight guests stay. The Inn is not their primary business. Very interesting old winery which occasionally rents rooms. We were the only guests that night in the Inn, though they also run an event space and had a large group that night. The room was in the top floor with slanted ceilings and wooden floors. The accomodations were rather spartan. There was a glue trap type mouse trap right under the head of the bed, which was a bit unexpected, though perhap understandable in such an old building. The shower curtain had a layer of mold on it that was not great, but the rest of the bathroom was clean with fresh towels. WiFi worked well.
