Place smelled great and very clean lobby. Elevator situation was horrible, stopped going each direction so you had to ride up if you wanted to go down and vice versa. Only one worked and it was super slow. Cleaning staff also bogged down the elevator with their usage. Ice machine on 3rd floor didnt work so had yo take elevator to different floor...did i mention it was slow and time consuming.

I booked in advance through Expedia, but when I arrived at Hotel Lotus, I was told they didn’t have my room available — even though I had my confirmation with me. Their only “solution” was to charge me $75 extra for an alleged upgrade. Completely unfair and unprofessional. The worst part is they took no responsibility for the mistake, and if Expedia hadn’t stepped in and relocated me to another hotel, I would’ve been left without a place to stay after a long trip. Extremely disappointed by the lack of organization and empathy from the staff. I would not stay here again and definitely don’t recommend it. If you book here, be prepared for them not to honor your reservation. Great place for the price!

Good stay- breakfast was only uncrustables or bread, so if you’re looking for a place wth good breakfast, it’s not the place. That’s the least of my worries, though! Super clean, kind staff, comfortable bed and simply great for a quick stay, especially for the price!

Checking in took forever for some reason. I’m all about a bargain hotel but this one left me lingering with displeasure. Floor was dirty in room- bugs alive and dead, dirt, paint(?). There was a smell in the room that was quite powerful of paint or chemicals. Bed was comfy and a/c never got before 73. Hallway smell of weed. Would not recommend.

One night stay to get in a ballgame at Kauffman Stadium. Very convenient location. If it hadn’t been so hot & humid, we could have walked to the game.

A Patrick Mahomes throw from Arrowhead, this hotel does the job for an overnight stay. I didn’t mind the simple breakfast at all (similar to what you’d find at McDonald’s or 7-Eleven).

Room was clean, staff was nice but the property is very much in need of a renovation. Generally dirty, hallways and elevator lobbies were dirty, strong odor from "air freshener". Adjacent property is a concrete slab from a large building that apparently was demolished and abandoned. Overall did not enjoy our stay here and will not return.

It's fine for what it is; a super convenient location for Royals/Chiefs game. But there's nothing around it. There's a giant weird hole in the middle of the parking lot that looks like maybe it used to be a pool but is now just a vacant lot. A woman wandered the halls at 5:00 a.m. screaming obscenities at someone on the phone for about half-an-hour without anyone doing anything about it. The wifi never did work very well for me; I mentioned it and they did reset the router but it didn't seem to help. No coffee lids for the to-go coffee cups that are provided. Again, I wasn't expecting much and that's pretty much what I got. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot, I will say that!

I would NOT recommend staying here. The only positive was that it was close to Kauffman Stadium. Everything else about my stay was unpleasant. I paid $50 for an early check in fee, and the room temperature never was below 76. They told me to use a fan in addition to the "AC". I reported the problem the next morning, and they said maintenance would look at it. I returned 7 hours later, and maintenance did NOT look at it. They switched me to a 2nd room, where the temperature did not go below 75. The TV remote did not work and the room had an odd smell. Across both rooms, the WiFi didn't work (they gave me the code for their front desk one, but that also wouldn't work on the 5th floor). When I checked out, I asked if they did luggage storage for a few hours since I was attending the baseball game, and they said they did not store luggage. After complaining and repeatedly asking, they finally agreed to hold it for a few hours. This experience was very unpleasant, and I would not return. Awful hotel and young staff is entirely unhelpful (except for one person who appeared to be the GM).

Subpar Hotel

This hotel was not good. Only 1 elevator worked and it was so nasty inside, the buttons were crooked and stained. The ice machine on the main level didn't work, the bathroom on the main level didn't have toilet paper or paper towels, the pool floor was sandy and hard on the feet, the pool towels were hand towel size, the rooms were tiny. The beds were fairly comfy, so that was good. It was controlled entrance, so liked that. Overall would never stay here again. Needs major upgrades, it looks like its on the verge of closing.
