Set right across the street from Kahalu’u Beach, this three-bedroom condo is within steps of one of the best beaches in Hawaii for snorkeling and surfing. Your prime locale is also close to Kona Town and Keauhou. Known as one of the best spots for learning how to surf in Kona, you’ll love being just across the street from Kahalu’u Beach Park. Shaded by lush trees, this gorgeous beach offers a pavilion, showers, and a concession stand. The protected bay also offers some of the best snorkeling on the island. On the north end, you’ll find the best waves for bodyboarding and surfing. Head to Kona Country Club one mile away to practice your swing amid majestic ocean views. Or head to nearby Keauhou Harbor for manta ray diving and snorkeling tours. Keauhou Shopping Center has a cinema, a market, and fantastic eateries.

Perched on the second floor, this corner unit boasts beautiful ocean views throughout, while central air-conditioning and ceiling fans ensure a comfortable stay. A private covered lanai offers a serene spot to unwind amid the fresh coastal breeze. As part of the Beach Villas at Kahalu'u, you’ll also enjoy access to a grill area and an infinity pool with a spa.

An oversized armchair offers comfortable seating in the open living area. You'll also find a TV with a Bose surround sound system and an entertainment center stocked with books and puzzles. Prepare home-cooked meals in the well-appointed kitchen with a full suite of stainless steel appliances. Helpful gadgets include a blender, coffee maker, and toaster. Not so good for us , but an excellent host!

We actually didnt stay here because the a/c unit had broken down the week before our stay. Our host, Lawrence, had informed us of this , and we thought we could make it work, but it was just too hot without the a/c. However, Lawrence was gracious and helped us by issuing a refund for the stay. He was also great to communicate with. Plus the a/c issue wasnt his fault. Otherwise, the condo was clean and very nice. I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect home base in Kona

This was a perfect place for our family of four to spend a week exploring the big island. We loved the view from the patio, the pool, having great snorkeling right across the street, and plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The location was great- close to Kona town but in a more residential area. We lucked out and got to see actual lava flow at Volcanoes park, we snorkeled with Manta Rays, enjoyed a luau and a helicopter ride from Hilo in addition to great beach time.

Location is great with beautiful snorkeling right across the street. Surfing lessons right next door. Do not buy snorkel gear. Bring some alcohol swaps and clean whatever you want to use in the huge cache of snorkel gear and we left a nice boogie board behind. Highly recommend you go to Costco straight from the airport as it’s between the airport and the house. The amenities and cleanliness of this place are outstanding and the management is quick to reply to text. Really helpful staff. Hilo is about 1.5 to 2 hour drive but while there goto Carl Smith beach and swim with turtles. The pool and barbecue are great and we cooked several nights. The Apuna is a good Sandy beach about a 50 minute drive. Magics is a good Barb and restaurant about a mile from the house. Again the management of this property is top notch.

Great location, great property

Our family of 5 (9, 12 and 14) stayed here for 4 days. The kitchen was well set, the rooms and bed set up was great, there were beach / pool towels and some snorkel and fin gear. The walk to the beach was 2 minutes and there were turtles, great snorkeling and some surf. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute Hawaiian Condo

We are very particular travelers. I researched many places to stay on the Big Island. The condo was cute, Hawaiian charm. It was spotlessly clean. We had a perfect view of sunset from the porch. It is right off of a busy street, which was noisy with cars. The beach across the street was a good snorkeling and surfing beach. Close drive to all things in Kona. The condo had plenty of room for our family of 6. My only suggestion would be upgraded beach chairs and a small cooler for guests to use.

This is a perfect property. The unit is large and very well-appointed. It is across the street from the beach so you can enjoy sunsets from you lanai every night. You can walk across the street and go snorkeling and swimming. It is in a local neighborhood so it is not a resort feeling. It is close to restaurants and grocery shopping at Keauhou Shopping Center. We would return every time. It was Great!!

Very good stay

Upon arrival, we had a very hard time getting in the door. We also had a hard time locking it on departure. A call to Vacasa, and they sent someone out quickly to fix it. No problem after that. Unit is well stocked, both in the kitchen and bed, and bathrooms. Pool and hot tub were very refreshing, though we didn't like the fact that you needed a key to get out of the pool area. Location was excellent. Easy to get around. Beach was more for surfing and snorkeling than walking or sun bathing. Loved the patio, great view. Would definitely stay there again.

Bottom line, loved our stay. It is 2nd floor unit and did not find elevator. Property is well maintained, comfortable and in a great location. It had all the cooking utensils, pans, etc one might want. The fridge/freezer worked well and made lots of ice. Access to cable TV, although we didn't use it. Beds were pretty good. Lots of towels/beach towels. There was a lovely view on lanai with nice sea breezes. We were right across the street from great snorkel beach and nearby surf beach with showers, bathrooms & life guards. Beach has rocky entrance but little tide pool at shore has rock steps into very sheltered area (good for dip to cool off and little kids). Driving distance to grocery/drug stores, retail shops, restaurants and centralized location for sightseeing all over island. Only reasons we didn't give all 5 stars are below. At check-in the digital lock to front door did not work. We called management they tried to assist without success, so provided us with immediate access to a key. Key worked but difficult to remove from lock without multiple tries. Some dishes in cupboard had food on them. We realized it likely was dishwasher problem because sometimes dishes we washed were not clean after running unless we rinsed thoroughly prior to loading. The 2nd bedroom (with queen/king bed) had really tiny, non-biting bugs (gnats) that didn't prevent comfortable use of room. Monthly insect control sched for day we left. Absolutely would stay there again. Thank you.

Perfect Beach Location

Ideal location across the street from Kahalu'u Beach Park, which lives up to its reputation of being an awesome place to snorkel. The views from the balcony and pool are phenomenal! It was so decadent to watch the ocean waves, swaying palm trees, vibrant flowers, and little colorful birds from both areas. Our lodging came with everything we needed (even snorkeling gear and beach towels) for our home away from home. We commented everyday how lucky we were to have found this place!

This location was great. Nice pool. Right in front of beach. Clean unit. Nice balcony. Beach chairs were terrible, should be replaced with more suitable chairs for what the unit costs. The management was responsive to the clogged drain and missing beach towel. Beach towels were not great quality. Toilet paper quality was poor, like worse that at my kid’s school. For the fee charged I would RECOMMEND request an upgrade on the TP :)

We totally enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo. It had the perfect location and view. We were able to take the trolley to town as we didn’t have a car. Spent several days lounging on the Baja reef! We highly recommend this charming condo. The air conditioning was a definite plus!

Amazing view and comfortable beds

I had my husband, 2 kids, and my mom with us. Condo was exactly as described. You can watch a beautiful sunset from the lanai and walk down to Kahaluu beach for snorkeling in the morning. The walk is VERY short. Some road noise but it wasn’t bad and the neighborhood was overall quiet. This unit is on the second floor but you have to go down one flight of stairs from the parking lot then up 2 flights of stairs to the condo. I didn’t see an elevator so keep this in mind when considering. It wasn’t an issue for us. We got a little workout carrying our suitcases. Also there is no screen door on the slider going out to the lanai so we couldn’t keep the door open at night. There are definitely bugs and you don’t want them coming in. We found two baby geckos inside the condo which our kids were excited about but some people might not be as excited. We also had a lot of gnats and one roach but we found bugs everywhere we went. This was not unique to this property. There were also wasps outside. The central AC was perfect and cooled the entire condo quickly. It’s definitely a must have in Hawaii. It’s almost 90 degrees in the summer so you will use it. The unit had boogie boards, beach chairs, pool noodles, and snorkel stuff. It would have been nice to have a local contact person. The only phone number I received was the Vacasa company number which was not convenient to call because you have to go through the menu options to get to a person. We would stay here again!

Excellent apartment at a fantastic location

The property is really nice and the location is unbeatable. However, there is a serious mosquito problem. We collected literally a bucket full of mosquitos every morning (and I have the pictures to prove it). Fortunately they were not the kind that bites, but they were annoying nonetheless. Maybe it is a seasonal thing (we were there in early June). I still give it 5 stars, but management needs to look into this.
