Our trip to Jim Thorpe was spur of the moment, returning from Plymouth, MA. We booked the hotel from the car, literally 3 hours out. Luckily they had a cancelation and we got in to a regular room. It was very nice, clean, a great shower, very comfortable beds, etc. The next morning we decided to try and extend our stay (spur of the moment). The room we were in was booked so they moved us into a "rustic" room (new iron beds with pillow top mattresses, used brick walls, open rafter ceiling, great window lighting, wonderful bathroom with a faucet that resembled and old fashioned water pump, etc.). Great!!!! If available, try to book one of these. The common areas were all clean and new. The staff were wonderful; friendly, helpful, cheerful. The continental breakfast was what you would expect in any good hotel. Small (but free) parking lot out back. There is a spa next door. If you have reason to visit Jim Thorpe (delightful little touristy turn of the 20th Century town), I suggest trying to snag a room at the Y. A very cool little boutique hotel.

Loved everything about this hotel except for the continental breakfast. Would have preferred a larger selection or perhaps a voucher to eat in an actual restaurant/cafe. But the room was super comfortable, and the staff made us feel like we were family.

I loved the property’s history. The continental breakfast was nice. Loved Beth. I’m not good with “high” chairs and cocktail tables, would have been safer for me to have a low table/chairs. Beds were high as well /but comfortable- pillows were too large and firm
