The grounds are impressive with your "backyard" overlooking the terrific California north coast, Ocean, and many rocks for the surf break on. Food service was really good and the food as well. We appreciated our server Spencer - who was most attentive to us. Great place to relax and look at the ocean.

The setting is gorgeous. Rooms looking straight over the water. Peaceful, quiet. Halfway between Jenner and Sea Ranch, less than 30 min to Sea Ranch. Early morning coffee and muffins along with evening cookies are a treat. However the restaurant food could be a little improved. Portions are small for the price — for instance, a mezze platter consisted of about 3 Tbsp of hummus and 2 Tbsp of very small accompaniments, 1 (tasty) pita torn up and 2 long crackers for $32. Similar small sizes across other items.

We weren’t able to enjoy the food as it was closed for a private event. Had I known this beforehand, I wouldn’t have booked for that day. It felt like a wasted experience — I drove three hours to stay there and didn’t get the full visit we had planned. Bed was comfortable.

It has auto switches in bathroom, so when you get up to go at night the light blinds you awake. No instructions at phone as to what to dial for front desk. Counter are in bathroom is small. Sliding door to patio did not lock. Could not find switch to ceiling light, or it was out if controlled by main switch. No elevators to my room. I think it was over-priced. On the positive side, attractive room and public area. Nice views.

I’ve been coming to Timber Cove for years. It’s my favorite escape. I usually stay in an ocean view room, but this time I tried the Timber Cove Room facing the courtyard. As other reviewers already mentioned, it was noisier than expected, with music and voices from the Great Room carrying into the night. The room was also smaller, which was okay, but the skylight was defect and couldn’t close, making it hard to sleep once the morning light came in. Considering the room rate and being a returning guest, I would have appreciated a small gesture since the issue couldn’t be fixed during my stay. The bed however, was incredibly comfortable, as always. Would I book this room again? Maybe, if traveling solo on a budget. But for the full, peaceful Timber Cove experience, I’d definitely stick with an ocean view room.

Loved everything about this resort. I only wish it had been a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the fire pit overlooking the ocean. Our room was cozy and warmed by a stove fireplace and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We were greeted with delicious cookies and a free glass of wine. More delicious bakery treats were available in the morning with coffee. I highly recommend a stay at this resort.
