We’re in the process of purchasing a home and rented the duplex because of the proximity to my kids school. Upon arrival the floor was extremely dirty, we went to the store to purchase cleaning products(no complaints made). It took about an hour to remove all the dirt from the floor. The washing machine was broke at arrival as well. We stayed for two weeks and had to visit a near by laundromat to wash our clothes. The unit was always hot. The AC would never go lower than 75 (in FL heat) unless we set it to 63 at night to keep it cool throughout the day. There were people (workers) in the second duplex (more than the amount listed on the property rules) smoking & the smoke came through the ventilation system. I ended up having to rush my baby to the ER for a severe asthma attack. We now have a ER bill from breathing treatments and steroids for his lungs. The listing states no smoking in the units, one reason why we booked it; however, the other renters were still able to stay even though they completely ignored the rules of the property. A blatant disregard to my child’s health. On top of that, they repeatedly asked my fiancé to take them to purchase drugs and had random people coming in and out the back gate at random times of night. Besides cleanliness and the other renters, the property was nice, but the experience was horrible. Everything was reported to the company and they only offered an apology. We drove past the other day and the people are still renting the unit….
