Good value for money

Hotel is on the older side, pictures are a bit deceiving, and doesn’t offer much. Breakfast was ok. Staff, on the other hand, was very helpful and polite. Location is amazing, walkable distance to the Bazaar, Grand mosque etc

Great location to old town

Very convenient to old town sites. Hotel is clean and spacious. Nice breakfast buffet. Walls are thin making it easy to hear neighbors and elevetor.

The Pell Palace is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. During our stay, they accomodated our early morning arrival and our early morning departure. The cafe on site is a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee, tea or local beer. A transit stop is nearby and there is small grocery store nearby as well. Plenty of dining options and walkable to the Blue Mosque and surrounding area although I recommend taking the light rail back.

Pell Palace is located central. When booking the hotel I was debating between close to the grand bazaar or Arasta Bazaar. Arasta is more of a western district and closer to the airport shuttle. The grand bazaar is really grand so I picked grand bazaar. But Istanbul center is pretty small so either locations are great. There were three of us and I wanted a Bigger space with a balcony. I realize quickly that it’s too hot in the summer to take advantage of the balcony. My wife likes the breakfast but it’s mainly vegetarian. Overall we enjoyed the hotel. One thing that was not the fault of the hotel is there was a family on our floor that was really noisy at nught

While the tram is nearby, the neighbourhood shops are worn out, trading shops. Vehicles cannot access the narrow street between 10am to 6pm. We were dropped off far from the hotel and had to carry our luggages uphill to reach the hotel. The staff are commendable, very helpful with street directions.

The staff was really helpful and gave us a few great suggestions for local restaurants, shops and activities. They were very generous with their time, and the cleaning staff was also very nice.

Good location, excellent staff

Hotel quality is 50% comfort. 50% staff. And the staff of this hotel deserves a 5 star comment, starting by Ufuk, an excellent reception manager. Very friendly, very helpful. We can’t thank him enough for his hospitality. The location was very central, we could visit almost everything on foot. room temperature was perfect and the breakfast staff was super nice too, Thr hammam was great (a special compliment for Maria, the masseuse from Georgia). The only downside was the music.l during the relaxing massage before the Turkish bath. As it’s a radio or a free streaming, there were ads all the time (and in Turkish, which made it even more disturbing): But, overall, I would recommend this stay. IThe day after our arrival it was my birthday and we were hosted by Ufuk with a birthday cake and we got free souvenirs when we left. Small gestures that make the big difference!

Pictures are quite misleading. The lobby and reception area are incredibly small and the area around hotel can be alarming till you get used to the surroundings. However the location is amazing coz within a minute you are in the main streets and right near the bazaar. Room was fine however there is a school right next to it so you can be woken up in the mornings with the playground noise and they do sing the national anthem before they are allowed into the building. Staff were lovely, there is a young guy that works there who helps with the luggage and breakfast area and he was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Just note that during most of the day the road the hotel is on closes so taxis are not able to directly drop you off or pick you up outside hotel. I never read this anywhere in reviews or on hotel info.
