Nice cabin

Nice, simple property. Be warned there is a significant walk up a steep hill to get to the cabin from your car, so prepare with luggage accordingly. We had a nice stay for two nights. There is plenty around to explore, especially if you rent a car..

Vacket belägen stuga med underbar natur

A very nice little cabin, basic but has all essentials for a great weekend. Good heating and parking close to cabin. Note: check if ferry is avalible before departure to this amazing location. You can drive all the way but you will save a lot of time taking the ferry.

Five stars is not enough for the stone cabin in Ortnevik! The one bedroom cabin is so charming. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals and the bed is comfortable. The property is incredibly beautiful and there are interesting hikes right from the cabin. Just a quick walk away you’ll find an amazing wood sculpture garden that will blow your mind. Eldar was very helpful with check in and with advice on where to hike and walk. The small store in town has limited hours but a surprising amount of supplies for a small place. But if you have the option it is likely best to grocery shop in a larger town before arrival. At the cabin I felt I could be away from it all and see the real Norway. Thank you Eldar for sharing your wonderful property with us

Idyllic Getaway

We stayed in the log cabins for a week in the middle of February, when the country had experienced a few feet of snow a couple of weeks before. The surroundings were amazing and absolutely beautiful and pristine. We stayed one night in the stone cabin before spending the remainder of the stay in the wooden cabin. The cabins were very cosy, well-maintained & clean. There was a fireplace in the wooden cabin, and there was no shortage of wood provided for the fire. A hot tub was also situated outside by the cabins for use, and it was very enjoyable. Most importantly, our hosts were very warm and welcoming. The level of service was very high, and they did a great job of looking after us, from providing detailed instructions of the different possible ways to get to the location, to guiding us on the road itself, helping us with our car and luggage up the slopes in the snow, and ensuring we had planned sufficient to return back. I would definitely recommend this as a place to go if you want to spend time by yourselves or with your families, and there are some very beautiful walks and trails around to stay active. It is also perfectly suited as a place to disconnect from the rest of the world and just read a book and de-stress. I will definitely return back again.

Adecuada Al entorno, acogedor, magnificas vistas, equipado, insuperable

Juan y Nain

Straight out of a Fantasy tale

I came alone to Norway looking for a relaxing week, wanting to stay away from everything, but it surpassed my expectations. This trip not only was a great way to break from the routine, but also a beautiful adventure in a fantasy-like paradise. Going to Vassdalen lake is a must. I highly recomend the Apaldalen route too and the lovely forest beyond. Still, every walk you take around Ortnevik is absolutely charming, even if the weather sets up badly. Thanks a lot to Eldar and his family for their hospitality! I hope more people know of this wonderful place. Luis Miguel

Toller Aufenthalt

Magisk sted

Idyllic Cabin

The stone cabin is located in a small idyllic place. The cabin is located on the edge of the forest and offers a wonderful gigantic view over the Sognefjord. The Check-In was very easy and the cabin was absolutely clean on our arrival. We spent 9 nights there and felt comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, so we could have good self catering. The environment is very quiet - exactly what we were looking for. The area is very quiet and offers beautiful landscapes and nature, especially the Norwegian mountains and waterfalls. Eldar is a good host and always helpful if we had any questions. All people in Ortnevik were very friendly to us. We recommend hiking in Ortnevik. There are many hiking trails and beautiful views. Thanks for this nice place and the nice stone cabin!
