I’ll start with the positive-
Pros- the person checking us in was friendly & welcoming. We arrived late after a 6 hour drive so we called ahead to make sure he knew we were arriving late. He assured us all was good & we would be fine checking in later than usual. The breakfast was unusually good for a continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable.
Cons- The room is in need of some updates. The desk chair upholstery was peeling & cracked. The shower was in poor condition with cracks & floor mat full of possibly rust on the underside? Either that or something was wrong with the floor of the tub. I didn’t bother to pull up the mat to investigate. The window was leaking air on the bottom, I could feel a cold breeze coming in. I’m not sure if that’s where the overwhelming smell of marijuana was coming from or if someone was smoking in their room but it made me nauseous. I’m not one who cares if others indulge in that but I can’t stand the smell of it. We also had kids in the next room giggling loudly while we were trying to go to sleep. That bothered me the least though because it sounded like they were having fun.
It was a warm place to rest our heads but I will most likely avoid a Comfort Inn from now on based on this experience.
