Perfect choice

Apartment turned out to be perfect for my wife and I to explore Heracklion. Maria was nice enough to pick us up at the airport and gave us great information on Crete upon check in. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and in a great, quiet location. A short walk gets you to the waterfront, central market and other fun areas. Thank you Maria for your hospitality and we hope to visit again!

Lovely hostess,apartment, and stay

We were pleased with the apartment in Heraklion. It is clean and well laid out. Maria was a wonderful hostess and also arranged transportation from airport and to ferry. Location: Being within the city walls made it possible to walk to all the sites we wanted to see. Museum of Natural History a 3-5 min walk, Museum of History 5-10 min and Museum of Archelogy (and main bus)15-30: all excellent. The neighborhood is not well lit at night. Kitchen was nicely set up. I enjoyed awakening to the church bells around 8- they add to ambiance.

A real home inside the old walls

We used google maps.gr to make a map of the streets with their Greek names. Very helpful. Truthfully, we were a bit uncertain about the unit when we drove up. The neighborhood is transitioning, but when we got inside, it is a different world. Everything is excellent, a true home. And once we walked around, we got comfortable with neighborhood and realized our initial qualms were our problem, not the neighborhood's. So definitely go for this place. An excellent place, and if you are a walker, a terrific location.

Mitten unter Kreten

Das Appartement liegt mitten in einem typischen Wohnviertel am Rand der Altstadt. In der Nähe ist das historische Naturkundemuseum von Kreta mit Erdbebensimulation. Hier stoppen auch die 4 unterschiedlichen Hop and off Touristenbusse. Das Appartement ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit einer gut ausgestatteten Küche. Zwei Klimaanlagen kühlen die Raumtermperatur an heißen Tagen. Das Ein- und Auschecken war unkompliziert, da wir den Transportservice der Vermieterin in Anspruch genommen haben. wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für Ausflüge in andere Städte kann man den Bus nehmen ab der zentralen Busstation (20 Minuten zu Fuß ). Ein kleiner Stadtstrand ist neben dem Naturkundemuseum schnell zu erreichen.

La casa è un ptroppo piena di oggetti e il parcheggio vicino non è scontato (vicoli piuttosto stretti). La posizione permette di raggiungere il centro a piedi in pochi minuti.
