Perfect retreat for family

We enjoyed our stay so much. The hosts took the time and decorated the house for Christmas, as our stay was over the holiday. It was so sweet and thoughtful. The back yard on the river is truly the best part of the house. But the short walk to town, the layout of the property, the thoughtfulness of amenities and the checkin process was all wonderful.

Wonderful all around

The house was beautiful! We stayed outside most of the time! Clean and wonderful! It would have been a great bonus to have a tv outside! We will definitely be back!!! The view of the river and probably our favorite part was the fire pit area!

Excellent New Years Eve stay

Our group of 8 (fam of 4 and 2 friend couples) celebrated family and friendship of 20 years for 3 nights over NYE. The home was exactly what we were hoping for - spacious yet lots of nooks for privacy, wonderful kitchen (cooking=love to us) and amazing outdoor spaces for drinks around the fire next to the river, on the deck or in a hammock. We were within walking distance of main area of Helen yet separated by the river so we weren’t in the bustle of the NYE crowds. Noise levels at night are important as we have a variety of sleep habits in our crew, and we all very happy with the neighborhood as well as sound damping within the home. This was one of our favorite NYE events to date. Great location, wonderful home and perfect hosts.

Great property better host

The pictures do not show how nice large and comfortable this property is. Is perfect for a group of friends or a couple of families. The property has an abundance of amenities and there was plenty to do. From being lazy in a large comfortable adirondack chairs around the oversized fire pit to tossing cornhole or shooting the Chattahoochee, this property has it all. The kitchen is more than large enough for large group and they living area is comfortable for many adults. The master bedroom is spacious and large with plenty of spaces for All that you may bring. The master bath is extremely large to include a bonus steam shower / sauna. Exterior deck overlooking the Chattahoochee River is absolutely beautiful large spacious and there's plenty of seating for everyone. Below the main level deck on the ground level is a large area to entertain while enjoying the backyard and the Chattahoochee River. The property is a 10 minute walk to downtown Helen or should the river allow it as it did this time It's 3 minutes if you cross the river. The communication with our host Danielle was efficient and easy. She made it easy to get into the property and also helped with a few special surprises. I could go on but all's I can say is she made it a very memorable weekend.

Family Vacation

We loved the property and the location was perfect. This property gets 5 Stars for sure. Just a heads up to the owners, when we placed the garbage out on the curb on Sunday night, the raccoons got into the garbage cans in the middle of the night. One of our kids cleaned up the mess before we left, but that was interesting, lol. We look for towns/places like this to spend part of our vacation at each year. Last year we were in Gatlinburg, for example. Helen is quite the place for vacationing. Thank you!
