The cabin

I was a beautiful cabin with walking trails that were marked so you couldn't get lost. I wish we could have stayed a week instead of the weekend. I would stay here again the next opportunity I can.

Peaceful Respite

I participated in a run on the nearby Pinhoti trail, which was very pretty. This property was a wonderful place to relax beforehand and restore afterward. There is a trail right next to the cabin that is very peaceful. Lying in the hammock and listening to the birds was lovely, as were the stars at night. The cabin is minimalist but truly has everything you could need, a lot of thought has clearly gone into the design and amenities. I was able to cook all meals on site, enjoyed the covered dining area outside, and slept surprisingly well as the bed and pillows were super comfy. I can't recommend this place enough and would love to return for a sweet, quiet getaway.

wonderful pet friendly retreat

Gorgeous glamping retreat that is perfect for recreational anglers and pup pals. We truly enjoyed the open spaces, the gorgeous pond, the star gazing, and the many comforts. It was wonderful to be able to pack light and leave refreshed. We will definitely be back.

Amazing weekend getaway

My husband and I went to the tiny house for a quick weekend getaway and we were blown away! The tiny house was so clean, and cozy! My husband enjoyed fishing at the pond, and I loved reading on the hammock. Jerry was awesome and communicated everything we needed! We are looking forward to going back!

Perfect Spot for Relaxation and Nature Time!

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat to reconnect with yourself or nature, Shekkina is the perfect destination. It was a much-needed solo getaway for me to unplug and unwind in the serene woods. Birds chirping sounds, the gentle breeze, and the natural ambiance is what I was looking for. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet escape!

Peaceful and Relaxing

I have nothing but great things to say about our recent stay at Shekhina. Jerry is a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with. The A Frame is beautiful and cozy. It was very cold outside during our stay but we always felt comfortable in doors with the gas/electric heaters and next to the campfire. There is also a great assortment of books to read. We hope to stay again in the future when it starts to warm up outside. The small marked trail was great to walk even in the chilly weather.

Perfect Getaway for Needed Silence

Shekhina was exactly what I was looking for in a solo weekend retreat. Jerry was very communicative and the listing is accurate, if not a little undersold on the beauty of the land. The property and the A-frame were peaceful and had everything I was looking for. Did some fishing, exploring, reading and writing. The A frame is not over-cluttered, which lent to my own ability to declutter from the busyness of my life. I could also see this being a great location to spend time with friends or family. One small observation I had was how much more enjoyable cooking was when I actually slowed down. Thanks for opening this place to others, Jerry!

A secret hideaway

We loved this adorable A-Frame, tucked back in the woods. The host was super helpful and responsive. It was exactly as we expected, from the peacefulness to the trails atound the property. Since we knew in advance that he has a coffee grinder, we brought some of our favorite beans. The wood pile for campfires was well done, w fire starters and nicely split wood. Our main objective was to get away from the noises of livingin town, and we were not disappointed. We towed our motorcycle up with us to ride the scenic roads through the mountains and it was amazing!

Peaceful Oasis

Shekhina cabin was exactly what we hoped it to be: a beautiful little getaway from the city! It was the thoughtful little details for me… yoga mats for star gazing, a hammock for an afternoon nap in the sun, a spacious fire pit, bamboo sticks for some light fishing, as well as the exquisite craftsmanship of the deck/outdoor kitchen area, the rock/crystal collection and a vase of beautiful wild flowers from the field across the way! It is very small, yes, but no wasted space, simple and all the essentials. Jerry was a fantastic host and we highly recommend this space!

Small house in woods 2nd Stay!

Had too go back, Really enjoyed my first time there, I'm a Hiker and a Biker, It doesn't get any better, Found some close by trails, Rode my bike, Found a nice swimming hole, Had a campfire, ate dinner, slept like a baby, Great place to get away from it all, I'll be a regular for sure !!!

Perfect get-away

The cabin was absolutely amazing. It was beyond quiet, quaint, and relaxing. The sunrise over the trees was gorgeous, and listening to the birds in the morning was both nostalgic and calming. It truly is a perfect retreat from a busy life. Me and my partner will definitely stay here again!

Tiny House Review

WOW, This little taste of paradise was just a little over an hours drive from Atlanta ! Just what the Doctor ordered. Needed a little break from life and found this hidden Gem just over the GA/AL border. Small but sweet. A place to unplug and get away from it all. No people, no noise . Plenty of Hiking, and for Mountain Bikers , lots of hidden trails not on normal maps, Beds are comfy, shower is hot, small grill on deck to cook, Everything you need to enjoy a weekend away from everything is there ! If ya wanna eat out about a 5 mile drive , Had a campfire at provided fire pit, Symphony of crickets, some crazy sounding birds, dark skys and plenty of stars, You will enjoy !!!

A time to Unplug

Once settling into this rustic, cozy little place surrounded by the tunes of the forest gives such perfect moments of peace, relaxation and slow down from the everyday hustle & bustle life can be. Waking up to the mist of the morning and sun rising with fresh coffee in hand! (The coffee grinder in here was a PLUS)😋 the mile long red/purple trail beside the cabin was the perfect way for my wife and i to start our morning and connect with the surroundings before getting back to make a little breakfast. This getaway gave us that time with no distractions to just conversate and enjoy the weather, another beauty of this little place is the location for night gazing. On a clear night the stars are amazingly bright as there is really no light pollution nearby. Bring a blanket or beach chairs to sit in the field at night and those stars really pop out at ya. Great time overall. Really thankful to have such unique place like this to cherish and “enjoy the simple things in life” ;)
