The primary features of the property were there: An amazing view of lake Ashi right from the room. A hot springs onsen. However for us,the floors in the living room area were filthy. Considering the cost, its unacceptable. I stayed in accommodation at 1/4th the cost of this one while on the same trip in Japan, and they were all clean. Can't see why this one would be any different. Very disappointed.

Prices could be better especially during off season when its raining and checkin in procedures was not convenient at all during rainy weather as well . Overall it was a good room with a nice view but could be better

A delightful cabin next to the lake with views of Mount Fuji (although our ground floor apartment had restricted views because of the trees - but not all ground floor apartments had this problem). The hot spring bath and foot spa were utterly delightful though and the projector was a nice touch to relax after a day of walking, even if I would have rather been looking at Fuji, my daughter loved it.

This was a great location to stay. The amenities were fantastic and we got lucky and were able to see Fuji-san on our last day. Great private onsen inside the room and wonderful views. Would highly recommend.

We were over the moon with this property. It's so rare to have a room so far exceed the photos. The view was even more beautiful in real life and we loved the private onsen bath on the balcony. Could not recommend this hotel more! Stay here if you visit Hakone, you'll be so happy that you did.

The best part of our trip was staying here with our three young children. We stayed on the top floor. We enjoyed the treats and drinks in the fridge. The view, private onsen, foot bath, and sauna is an experience well worth every penny. Our family loves community and connection… you cant do that with Rakuten because they are purely transactional. However, you can find the connection with kind people in the community. Some parts of the place were dusty because I notice when I pay for a place. The beds were VERY comfortable and we had the best sleep in Japan at this hotel than any other. The accessible areas to explore by just walking out your door is perfection. We love this place so much and hope to return for a longer stay in the near future.

A great gateway

As long as you can read an email or scan a QR code, you will be fine. Check-in and check-out process is easy. Location is great, a 7-11 is about a five minute walk. Free drinks in the fridge was a nice step too.
