The house was great! Just as advertised online. The only negative is the stairs going to the front door were steep, short and no handrails. The stairs going to the back deck were better but at night very dark. We had a group of 6 adults all over 70 and very capable of climbing stairs. Four of the six fell. One sprained her ankle and tore ligaments in the other foot.If you have small children or older people this house may not be for you. If they added handrails even on the middle of the three steps on the back deck it would make a difference.

Amazing Beach House

This beach house was incredible. We had a large group of family and friends ranging from all ages. Our favorite part was the easy access to the beach where the kids could come and go as they please. We loved the oversized carport which kept the cars out of the sun. The gorgeous deck with plenty of seating was also a nice spot for the parents to relax and socialize. The kids loved the large bunk room. The room is much bigger than the picture. Multiple outdoor hose connections. The water spigot on the boardwalk was lacking some water pressure, which may have been the only negative thing, but it still served its purpose. The beach itself is almost like a private beach with so few people. The house had more than enough towels and wash clothes for our stay. We would love to come back and stay here in the future.

Great place for a Spring Break Getaway!

This house is wonderful, spacious and very clean and nice. WONDERFUL LOCATION! HOWEVER, please note that there is not enough supplies. The house is stocked EXCEPT... The website states that there is a 'starter' set of supplies and that is all. We had to purchase dish soap, detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap and bath soap. We had 18 people staying at the house and I spent a lot of time doing laundry for clean towels. It would be great if the dryer would be upgraded with a house this size... again AMAZING house but read the small print when considering necessary supplies.

Another great experience!

Our second stay at Second Wind, and we only have great things to say! My only suggestion would be to get a better can opener, and if we’re getting that nit picky, it must be a great place. We’ll be back!

Great location!

Loved the property and location! Will probably choose again! Random: There were two pills on the floor of one of the bedrooms. I guess housekeeping may have missed them. Thankful we found them and disposed of them.

Truly a Second Wind!

Prefect property for our group! Far enough away from the tower condos and public beach that you have plenty of peace and solitude! We surf fish and caught at least five species, saw schools of fish and sting rays swimming by. Peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend Second Wind!!

Lovely Beach House

This house is perfect for a peaceful stay. Quiet stretch of Beach and house is beautiful with great AC. Only request would be add blinds of some sort in living room because glare is nonstop. I understand not wanting to hide the amazing view.

Modern, Clean, Convenient property without the Crowds

Easy beach access to an uncrowded stretch of beach over a mile away from the nearest public beach access. 15 min from the grocery stores of Gulf Shores. The water was shallow enough all the way to the sandbar for our kids to have a large play area! Not listed in the amenities or in the pictures, but they do have a small Weber grill. The porch area was just as amazing as the pictures suggest. Would definitely stay here again!

plenty of room

great place, great location! Owners need to invest in some porch furniture so we all can sit and watch water and there seems to be a thermostat issue, it kept switching to heat on 74 degrees we had to keep check on it and keep changing it back to ac but other than those 2 issues it was awesome!!!
