This condo was very nice and clean. The view from the balcony was great! As far as the unit and resort, it was very nice. I did not realize I booked a condo outside of Gulf Shores. This is really in Fort Morgan, which is a lovely area.
To get to anything off resort such as reasonably priced gift shops, local restaurants, and grocery stores you will have to drive 20 minutes, which isn't a bad thing, I just wish I had paid attention to this detail when booking. Don't let this deter you though, it is a lovely unit. There are two restaurants on site, one very pricey, which is at the club house, and one more reasonably priced more at the entrance of the resort. There is a Dollar General store close by, as well as a local pizza place and a liquor store.
Overall we enjoyed the peace and quiet this resort offered. It was easy to reserve the beach chairs, and there is an outdoor area close to the pools and beach to order food and drinks if you want to make it a really easy beach day. There is also a nice brick walkway on the beach side of the resort.
We came in Oct, so in the summer the crowd might be different, but the beach was not very crowded. Before you plan your dinner at the club restaurant, for a party of four, no appetizers, 3 drinks, 4 entrees, and one dessert, we paid almost $300. Our server was kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is great. I would definitely go back for cocktails, but would plan to drive off site for dinner.
