The staff was helpful, Yarmin, Yamilka, and Sandra from the 3rd floor. Food was not great, and I stuck to fruits throughout my stay. It was inconvenient getting service even though it seemed I was the only guest because bar areas were closed, and often hadd to find someone to provide me a drink. It was boring. It took me 2 hours to check in, and my room was ready an hour after check-in. There are no ATM's in the area. Uber is corrupt there as they will message you asking for cash, and they'll cancel the Uber once you get in. The batting cage was not serviceable and there is a basketball rim, but no where to bounce the ball as it is on grass. Pool closes early at 8pm. I would offer that pilots stay here. This is in a gated area with security. To have a guest come into the property they must have a valid ID. The drinks are served in small cups so you need to have 2 because you'll drink the first one fast.

Great stay

Hodelpa is a nice place with great staff. All inclusive is not at the level of others, but you are not paying a huge All Inclucive fee either. It is not all day eat and drink. The price reflects this. It is very adequate for anybody not wanting to worry about eat and drinks. We were in a group of about 25 people and everyone was satisfied with what you get for the price paid. As I stated earlier the staff is great. Hodelpa is an old Embassy Suites. So if you have ever been to one of those you should understand both the building and room layout. I won't say it is a negative, but they do have music and some kind of entertainment that goes until about 11pm each night. Depending on where your room is and if you want to go to sleep before that time, you may be bothered. We just accepted it and figured it is the Dominican way. They like to have a good time. The Hotel is set within a private residental community. It is quiet and safe. Once again the staff were GREAT.
