Tern and seal colonies, along with the rare Natterjack toad, make this area truly special. Winterton is also dog-friendly, though we ask guests to keep dogs away from seals and protected wildlife.
The village offers a traditional pub, The Fisherman’s Return, a fish & chip shop, Poppy’s Tea Shop, and a post office/general store. For day trips, Great Yarmouth is just 8 miles away and Norwich 19 miles. The Norfolk Broads, Horsey Windpump, Hickling Broad, and the famous Horsey seal colony are all within easy reach.
