The property is pretty, and one has a sense at one time. It was a great place to stay. The first room we got had a pipe left over from an old heating system that brought cold air directly from the inside into our room, making it impossible to heat. We changed rooms, and the new room had several small things that weren’t working right. The thermostat did not display a temperature, making it hard to regulate the heating and cooling system. The mirror light didn’t work. One of the USB charging ports next to the bed didn’t work. The lotion dispenser in the bathroom didn’t work. One of our sheets had some disgusting gunk on it that had trapped many hairs. Front desk, staff buried from not particularly friendly to very nice, but the promised replacement sheet and promised follow up for our heater in the first room didn’t happen. At least they did switch our room when the first one remained so cold. But I couldn’t help to wonder why the pipe hadn’t been fixed a long time ago.

Sink did not drain well in the bathroom light for magnifying mirror did not work plus one of the lights in the bathroom, but reported it all manager wrote it down. Hopefully this will be taken care of. We come here often.

Great location near LIRR, convenient for NYC travelers. Good breakfast with reusable dishes, avoiding single-use waste. Room is comfortable with plenty of space. HVAC system underperforms, requiring a supplemental radiator heater. Friendly staff quickly resolves any arising issues.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and this stay I was disappointed in the quality of the room. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and over used. The heater did not produce heat and it was noisy. I was never able to get the room above 72 degrees. Needless to say it was always cold in the room when the temperature outside averaged 14 degrees each day. Where did HGTV go? I couldn't find it as an option on the TV.
