Incomparable views in a darling cabin

Immaculately clean, adorable cabin with views that are second to none. We had everything we needed, spent a lot of time out on the deck which is spectacular. Quiet yet convenient. Just gorgeous!

Not what we hoped it would be :(

Unfortunately, this was not the anniversary trip we were hoping for. The cleaning crew was still there upon arrival. The furniture is pretty run down and abused. The strip at the bottom of the shower door is half off and water pours out onto the floor. The light bulb in the bathroom was burned out and we had to take a bulb from another fixture to be able to see. There was a full load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we got there and a firepit full of burned wood that we would've had to remove and dispose of to have a fire. There was also dog hair everywhere, which we realized was a dog-friendly cabin, but still.The lake equipment was not usable, the kayak was in mud, the canoe was full of water and one of the paddle boards was deflated. The dock area was not able to receive any watercraft as it was too low, which would've been helpful to know as this was the primary reason for booking this location. There is more, but these are the key issues. The lake view from the deck was beautiful and perfectly represented in the photos and the owners did refund us the cleaning fee. However, we booked 2 nights and left after the first night and went home, (something we have never done!) Although we tried to make the best of it, our special anniversary weekend was not. We had high hopes considering the cost of this cabin and we were disappointed. We did attempt to ask for a refund for the 2nd night and explained the issues, but were declined.

Peaceful with views

Exactly as advertised with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Was plenty close to restaurants and especially the Roadhouse” where everyone is friendly! Host was always friendly too. We will be returning

Fall Beauty on the Lake

This is an amazing property with a huge deck, large hot tub, wood burning fireplace and on the water. Views are amazing! Close proximity to everything. Short drive to Grand Lake and 20 minute drive to Granby. I highly suggest staying here !

Great location, great cabin

The cabin is right up against the lake and has a little dock with a great view - perfect for quiet evenings and mornings. There were boats available for getting on the lake though I didn't leave myself enough time to really enjoy them. The cabin itself is small but open and airy with great views of the lake and mountains beyond. There were some initial issues getting the door unlocked but the host worked with me to figure it out and the rest of the stay was amazing. It's a beautiful cabin in a great location and I can't wait to come back and do it again!

Shadow Mountain Lake Bliss

We loved our time at the cabin, it was a wonderful way to celebrate our 39th anniversary. The view of the lake is perfect, loved the foggy morning we had and the cabin is outfitted with all the comforts of home.

The cabin has amazing lake and mountain views, direct access to the water with kayaks that we enjoyed using, a well stocked kitchen and a very responsive host. We will definitely return, thanks for a wonderful weekend get away!

Great cabin on the lake

The cabin was clean, stocked with kayaks and a paddle board with direct access to the lake. Beautiful views, great hot tub and a working grill. We used it all. The owner was awesome and very accessible.

Perfect for us!!!

Exceptional cabin for a small group. 4/5 would be max. Clean, well supplied, exactly as described. My wife and I stayed a week. Snow almost everyday. Good food near by in Grand Lake. Snow mobile and skiing were as good as it gets. Hot tub was amazing. Thanks Travis. I will come back again!!!

Relaxing in Nature

Perfect quaint cabin on Shadow Mountain Lake. Hot tub was a great added feature overlooking the lake after going out kayaking and fishing. Close to downtown Grand Lake. We ate dinner out every night, but made breakfast and lunch at the cabin each day and all the kitchen amenities we needed they had. No issues or complaints.

Nice autumn visit to Shadow Mountain Lake

We enjoyed our stay on Shadow Mountain Lake. The cabin was cozy, with a wood-burning fireplace and plenty of wood. The views from the deck were lovely - we watched a bald eagle catch and eat fish. There were some nice hikes very close by and we appreciated the host's welcoming of our dogs. Overall we had a lovely time and would rent this property again.

My 15 year old brought three friends and they had a great time with the water Toys and Hot Tub. They all slept in the loft and enjoyed the large fan. Excellent location. Observed A beautiful deer in front of the property. Views were amazing. Kitchen had everything we needed. Easy in and out and great communication with the owner.

Absolutely great little cabin right on the lake. Not big but just the right size for a small group and a pup. Book this place if you get a chance.
