Great hotel in a decent location. Modern comfortable rooms. Not huge but adequate. Soundproofing could be improved as I could hear the TV in one of the adjacent rooms late at night but didn't spoil the stay.

Signage in adjoining car park said pay when you park.. but it didn’t allow you to pay for extended stay greater than 12 hours. Spoke to reception who explained the signs are for other users of the car park, not hotel guests. A simple sign up in the car park, or even just details of this on booking confirmation would have helped a load of confusion. Staff were friendly. Lights under bed turn off without motion (worked out eventually after not finding a light switch at night to turn the lights off!) but they are quite bright, so when one of you sneaks to the bathroom in the night the lights come up bright- disturbing for the person who is still trying to sleep! It would be good to disable this feature if you wanted to. Bed comfy, curtains shut out the light well. Bedroom and bathroom clean. Breakfast - cold selection good. Disappointing hot buffet, especially if you’re a vegetarian.

Great location

Great location, five mins walk to OVO Hyrdo, and pleasant walk into city centre. Double glazing in room very effective in shutting noise from traffic out completely. Room small but fine, would have benefited from shelves to put clothing as we were staying for three nights. Breakfast good choice and hot. Staff all very pleasant.

Cleanliness in bar area could be better. Menu options poor and below standard expected. Buffet breakfast was chaotic, seemed to be an issue with staffing to ensure all food options were available eg no bread, milk, sausages etc which caused queuing and customers having to wait for these areas to be replenished. No issue with cleanliness of room and all staff were very helpful during our stay.

Lots of good points, but some really bizarre choices made it very hard to sleep - the temperature was way too hot and a little notice said our only option was to open the window (which wasn't really an option with the traffic noise) and there was a bright motion sensitive light under the bed that couldn't be switched off.

False advertising for parking charges

Hotel was fine but parking is advertised as £12 per night for overnight stays. Stayed for 1 night and was charged £24 on exit for the stay, pressed the help button on the pay machine to speak to an attendant. Explained we had been guests in the hotel only to be met with excuses of why it wasn’t £12 per night. Disappointing. Will look elsewhere when staying in the city next time

Our room was in need of some tlc, the window and the mood lights were both broken and the sink drained a little too slowly. Staff were super friendly and amazing, just a lack of them of sunday breakfast time which led to a lot of items not being available and some of the cutlery being left uncleaned in the trays. Overall was an okay experience but would’ve liked it to have been a little less expensive for what was wrong.
