Exuma Sol - Stunning Views from this Oceanfront Beach Cottage

Located on the beach within Hideaways at Palm Bay Beach Club with magnificent beachfront views and spectacular sunrises. Welcome to Exuma Sol (Cottage 34)!

Our Beach Cottage is perfect for a couple or family wanting extra space with two large bedrooms and two full bathrooms. We have many extras including a full kitchen, air-conditioning, 3 flat-screen TVs with cable, Wi-Fi internet, washer/dryer, beach accessories, and two comfortable porches with separate entries as well as access to two lounge chairs overlooking the ocean directly off of our front porch. Exuma Sol is an end unit giving you privacy and extra outdoor space only steps from the beach and calm waters of Elizabeth Harbour, with only a short beachfront stroll to Jolly Hall (arguably one of the best beaches on Exuma). Hideaways onsite restaurant (Splash) is only a two-minute walk away and also nearby within a short walking distance is August Bay, Frankie Bananas, and the famous Fish Fry.

As we are part of Hideaways at Palm Bay Beach Club, our guests will have access to all amenities offered at the resort included in your rental rate with no additional fees. You will have daily access to the resort swimming pool and unlimited use of kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and free shuttle service to George Town. There is free parking onsite just across the street.

We truly hope you enjoy Exuma Sol as much as we do and have the vacation of a lifetime. Whether it’s lazy days at the beach or making memories out exploring, you will find that Exuma in so many ways will relax and rejuvenate your ‘Sol’.

We had such an amazing time at Exuma Sol!! Mike and Karilynn are wonderful hosts. Mike answered ALL my questions so quickly. The home had everything we needed and was immaculate. My husband and I have been to several Caribbean Islands and we have to say, Exuma is the most beautiful. Turks and Caicos has nothing on this island. We walked to Jolly Hall Beach around the corner and there was a total of six people there including us. We rented a car and that was so much fun. It gave us the freedom to drive to the north of the island and south to the Tropic of Cancer Beach which was the best beach on the island. The smallest beach bar was there and they made the best drinks on the island! Hideaways is a great property. It is very clean and the restaurant Splash was right there. We met people that stayed at the fancy Grand Isle resort and they said they would choose Hideaways every time. You cannot go wrong with Exuma Sol. We will definitely be back and bring our friends!

We just returned home from an amazing stay at Exuma Sol and miss it already. It is the perfect place to stay in Exuma and we can't wait to go back.It is located in the resort Hideaways which is centrally located, has an onsite pool and restaurant, great snorkeling just out your front door and a 5 minute walk from Jolly Hall, one of the best beaches on the island. We have stayed at Hideaways in the past and enjoyed it but staying at Exuma Sol brought our vacation to the next level. The beds, pillows and linens were perfect making every night's sleep peaceful and refreshing. The kitchen was fully stocked. I honestly can't think of one thing it didn't have. The decorations were perfect and everything was spotlessly clean.There may not be a better view on the island than from the front door of Exuma Sol. And as an added bonus, the master bedroom has its own door with the same view.The hosts were attentive, kind and went above and beyond. Truly the best you could ask for. The housekeeper Ms Janetta was a treasure and became my family's new best friend. It was a perfect stay. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. 5 stars are not enough.

Perfect island location

Exuma Sol was the perfect unit for our group. It was clean, comfortably decorated with an island flair, and had all the necessities plus so many extras. The location just outside of George Town gave us easy access to everything. Before, during and after our stay, Mike and Karilynn always responded to questions, recommendations, etc. very quickly. We can't wait to return and Exuma Sol will be our choice!

10/10 Experience - First Time the Place Was Even Better Than the Pictures!

This was our first VRBO stay where the pictures didn’t do it justice—it was even better in person! Mike and Karilynn were awesome hosts. Leading up to our trip, Mike was incredibly communicative and went out of his way to make sure I was able to get our grocery order in and the delivery set up before we arrived, which was such a huge help.During our stay, we mentioned a very minor issue with an appliance (didn’t affect our experience at all), and it was fixed within hours. The place was spotless, fully stocked, and in a perfect location close to everything. Our kids (8 & 5) had an absolute blast, and we’re already booking our return trip. Hands down a 10/10

Heaven on Earth

I didn't think we could top last year's visit, but I think we just did. Everything was wonderful - the villa, the property, all the staff. Loved everything about Exuma Sol....except maybe the little bugs at night! They seemed to really like us though! Very much want to return, we are working hard to make that happen. Thank you Mike and Karilynn for being such great hosts.

Awesome place, exactly as advertised plus so many extras. Hosts are prompt and effective communicators, onsite maintenance excellent to help with any issues. Wifi within property excellent. Pool, local bar, restaurant (Splash) well maintained, do not expect high quality service, island life.All you will need for a relaxing stay.Jolly Hall beach just a short walk away, paddle a kayak to more beaches on Stocking Island - about 50 minutes one way to Chat and Chill to feed the stingrays

We had the most amazing stay at Exuma Sol. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Mike was kind, incredibly helpful and very proactive with communication. The condo was very well equipped with more amenities than we could’ve asked for. From beach towels and beach chairs to reusable grocery bags and a very well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and then entire place was immaculately clean. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of heaven!

What a fabulous week at Exuma Sol!

First want to say that the communication with the owner was fantastic! Very quick to respond to any questions and checked on us during our stay. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 14&12) can’t stop talking about our week in Exuma! The location of Exuma Sol is so convenient to so many of the beaches and restaurants. The condo was very clean, comfort beds, had all the necessities you could think of for the beach. Also, very well stocked kitchen for cooking. We walked to Jolly Hall Beach a couple of times, swam right out front of the condo, and used the kayaks and paddles boards. We saw a few turtles right in from the condo and a few starfish a little further out. All I can say is don’t hesitate to book your stay at Exuma Sol. I know our family will definitely be booking this condo again!

Perfection.

Myself, my wife and almost 2 year old daughter enjoyed a week staying at Exuma Sol. The other reviews were spot-on with regards to all of the "extras" included with this cottage. There are beach chairs, towels, beach activity sets, and even beach sand toys (a fun surprise). Also many extra towels and even blankets. The Hideaways resort provided a comfortable pack and play for our daughter. The kitchen was well-stocked with all things needed to cook and store meals, even reusable bags in which we could carry homemade food on our excursions. (There are several markets a short car ride away) They also even provided a couple of cooler backpacks - really well thought out details, considering other places we have rented in the past. The beds were also extremely comfortable and individual air conditioners in each main room were great. Communication with Mike was excellent. He responded promptly with any questions we had, which made us continually comfortable. The Hideaway Resort itself was full of kind people. If you run into a woman named Janetta you will likely receive a warm hug, making you feel right at home. The views waking up at Exuma Sol and walking around the property are almost unmatched until you make your way to Jolly Hall beach - a five minute walk down the sand. Don't miss it. Also, if it is a windy day right out front, Jolly Hall is more protected and not windy at all. We cannot say enough good things about Exuma Sol. If you're looking for a home away from home...

We had a great stay at Exuma Sol. The location and view couldn't be better. Steps from the beach and a short walk to Jolly Hall, one of our favorite beaches. The beach accessories are plentiful. Someone asked if we were owners because of all the stuff we were carrying...beach chairs, coolers, floats, towels...Mike and Karilynn have thought of everything. They were very communicative and even offered help when our flight home was cancelled. Highly recommend!

Paradise

Exuma Sol is the perfect cottage, and the perfect location in paradise. From the initial booking to checking out Mike and Karilynn were so helpful and have everything you need just to relax and have no worries you left something behind at home because they have thought of everything and have it in Exuma Sol. The cottage is just perfect, right on the beautiful turquoise water and sits close enough to everything yet far enough to relax with a book or just enjoy the island breeze. The vibe of the island and Hideaways staff all are so helpful and make you feel right at home. Thank you so much to Exuma for the memories and a huge Thank you to Mike, Karilynn and Exuma Sol for the PERFECT home away from home.

The "Sol" of Exuma!

There's nothing I could say that would do this place enough justice. It's perfectly located directly in front of the water, very calm...beautiful and serene. The place itself is beyond clean, full air conditoned, the beds are super comfortable, bathrooms are awesome (one for each bedroom), kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook (except groceries of course). For groceries, I would recommend Exuma Market and for fresh meats, I would recommend "prime island meats". If you dont feel like cooking, there's a restaurant on site but I would also recommend "Shirley's" which is about 2 mins drive down the road. If you're adventurous like we are, rent a boat from Minns water sports and explore the islands and beaches nearby - see the stingrays at chat n chill and the giant starfish at stocking island. The communication was seamless with Mike and Kaitlyn + they checked in periodically to ensure things are going well. They also had people on site to assist should there be any issues but we didnt have a need for that while we were there. Do yourself a favor, don't think about it, just do it. You won't regret your stay.

Exceptional Exuma!

Our stay at Mike and Karilynn’s place in Exuma at the Hideaways was superb! The cottage was very cute and in a fantastic location to enjoy the beautiful waters off the coast of Exuma! Our host, Mike, was very communicative and available for questions we had prior to our trip. He made the check-in process an easy experience and shared tips about the island. Exuma Bliss at Exuma Sol

Talk about a room with a view! Step right outside the front door and VOILA - the absolute description of "tropical paradise"! It is, seriously, the best location possible! We are SO happy that we found this amazing property right on the beach! Mike & Karilynn are outstanding hosts and helped us so much on a last minute "annual honeymoon" getaway. Such a perfect place for an anniversary, honeymoon, or to just celebrate life! Everything you could possibly need is at the cottage. We overpacked - LOL. The property is so comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. The location can't be beat - restaurant/bar on site, free shuttle (short ride to Georgetown), pool, beach, and, of course, the view. An outstanding support staff of Ms. Janetta & Wade are available, if needed, and the staff at Hideaways & Splash are super friendly and helpful. Fabulous Beach Side Cottage

From our initial booking of Exuma Sol to the moment we checked out Mike and Karilynn were responsive and helpful to any questions we had and checked in everything was going well during our stay. This was our first time on Exuma and the location and property made our stay perfect, the cottage is clean and very comfortable with everything you need during your stay. The beach chairs, umbrella, towels and cooler bags were much appreciated for days on the beach and the stunning Jolly Hall beach is just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed waking each day and having morning coffee on the deck and watching the world go by and left totally relaxed, thank you again Mike and Karilynn

Beautiful location

Not only a beautiful location but conveniently close to groceries and restaurants. The place was clean, tidy, not cluttered. Beds were comfortable, never had trouble falling asleep. Loved the beach accessories which made our days at Jolly Hall beach more enjoyable. Jolly Hall is basically around the corner, beautiful stretch of beach and most days, very few people. Communication with Michael was easy and he always promptly replied. Definitely planning on staying at this location again.
