Perfect Lake Location

We are local and stayed at the house for a weekend. Everything about the house was perfect for a weekend getaway, though we wished we could stay for a whole week. The location on the lake is quiet (very little boat traffic) but the surroundings give you convenient access to food and stores.

Perfect getaway with family and friends

The pictures do not do this place justice! The home was recently renovated and is beautiful inside it out. Gorgeous master suite and kitchen, plenty of beds and an easy slope down to the lake. We would absolutely come back to this house again.

Fantastic Getaway

This property is really beautiful. The house itself is lovely, and it has plenty of space, both bedrooms and tv/living room areas. We went with 8 kids and they spent the majority of the time swimming off the dock. The included kayak and paddleboard were a big hit. There are lots of grocery stores and restaurants within easy driving distance, and the area is beautiful. Overall a wonderful family vacation!

Fabulous Stay

Loved the property! We had cold and rainy weather so we didn’t get to fully enjoy the water. But the house was great. The ping pong table kept the kids entertained during the rain. We liked taking early morning walks around the neighborhood and watching the rain from the cozy back porch. We will be back, hopefully during good weather!

Best Lake house ever!

We stay here bc its proximity to the Olympic Rowing Venue. Its located perfectly for our event. Its large enough to accommodate everyone. Its clean and well appointed and updated. Its just a great place to hang out at for the weekend. We love it and will be back.

Graduation weekend

The house was perfect for what we needed . Lovely setting to celebrate my son’s graduation. House was well stocked with thoughtful extras. Took advantage of the kayaks and paddleboard to explore the lake. An amazing time was had by all! Thank you!

This is a great place for a multi-generational (or any large) family gathering. Master bedroom with king bed and bath on the main floor, 2 bedrooms with bath plus a small bunk room on 2nd floor and another small queen bedroom with bath in the basement (no window). Three different living areas allow for everyone to spread out or gather for watching TV, reading near the electric fireplace or playing games downstairs.The kitchen was really well suited for cooking meals since it has place settings for about 12 people and lots of glassware. There are all the necessary tools for cooking large meals too, like large casserole dishes, multiple sheet pans, pots/skillets, some mixing bowls, and plenty of hand tools like a peeler, a whisk, mixing and serving spoons and scrapersFinal thought is that the description is “Lakeside Oasis” and while we agree with the Oasis part, maybe not the Lakeside. It is located near the tip of a tiny “finger” of the lake where the water was fairly shallow (or was when we visited in November) and it is a VERY steep slope going down to the water – which would be good to know, as well, if someone has mobility issues.

A Vacation Home with All the Essentials

This home located on the north end of Lake Lanier was very comfortable for our family of four couples and a baby. The living area was open, well lit with a large television and a relaxing seating arrangement. The kitchen was fully stocked with every imaginable appliance and tableware/cookware that was needed. The main floor bedroom was very nice as were the two upstairs bedrooms. I wouldn’t recommend the basement bedroom for adults because it was somewhat musty with a less than adequate bed. The house porch was pleasant with a table large enough to seat eight people and the double decker dock worked well to accommodate our boat and provide a safe entrance into the lake for swimming. Overall we were very pleased with this property and grateful that we were able to have our family together for a week under one roof.

Great house but needs a deep cleaning.

The location is perfect. Close to stores. The house is older but remodeled well. The hike to lake would be tough for anyone with mobility issues but the dock is great. Loved the outdoor space and back porch. The only complaint I have is cleanliness. Everything looks clean at first glance but the house is in desperate need for a deep cleaning! Cobwebs in the master bathroom, a ponytail on the bathroom mat, hair in the drain, kitchen cabinets/drawers were dirty inside, floors in main floor were not mopped and swept well. Also, the downstairs had several spiders and other bugs. The house would be perfect if it was cleaner!

Lake House

The house was very nice but the basement smelled very moldy and stale. One of the check outs were to do was take the trash from the house to the trash bins outside and we never found them. Vacasa only communicated through text which they did not answer all the time and when they did, it was obvious they did not know the answer and were not helpful. I would not use them again.

Several issues

Cobwebs all over….stairways, basement, porch, abundant at dock. Not vacuumed…false eyelashes, hairs in bathroom, food under furniture & rugs. Outside is unkempt. Porch screens are torn. Gas tank for grill had to be traded in at our expense. Grill is not in good shape. There is not a paddle board. Only 1 chair on upper level of dock and table is cruddy. Path to dock is clay, rocks and tree roots. Not easy especially for seniors. All this was manageable and grandkids had a good time but definitely not worth the price. Would not rent again.

Nice space, needs improvements

House has a nice layout and suited our needs for 8 guests who were in town for a wedding. As others have mentioned the outdoor spaces need attention (spider webs, tree debris), I even messaged weeks before arrival after reading a review about these spaces letting them know that we expect the issues to be taken care of to which vacasa replied they would be. There were a few areas throughout the home that the cleaners missed (under dining table not swept, crumbs in kitchen corners, etc.). I messaged vacasa on arrival and they never sent anyone out to assess- this is definitely a property management issue and I feel for the owners as they are paying for a service that is not conducive to a successful rental. The walk down to lake is pretty steep/strenuous. The upstairs deck of dock isn’t in the best shape. Had we rented the house to spend more time down at dock/water we would’ve been disappointed in this space. Overall, with more attention to cleanliness this would be a good option for those looking to stay in the area.

2nd review

I wrote a review using the Vacasa email I was sent, just over a week ago. It has yet to be posted. Great time. House was large enough for a group of 10. Poor communication with the host Vacasa. Concerns were given. The standard; we apologize for the inconvenience. Your concerns will be forwarded to the local office, was pretty much all the communication we received.And not necessarily in a timely manner. Our issues/concerns were.....could not locate the living room tv remote. Had to use the bedroom remote. We had to store bags of trash in the house. There were no outside trash bins, as stated in the info book (which needs to be updated).My daughter had a number of bugs in her room. I included pictures of the bugs in my original review. Needless to say, her and her family did not sleep well during our stay. There were a few loose boards on the deck that could be a safety hazard if not addressed in time.The refrigerator water filter needed to be replaced. Next time I use Vrbo, I hope the actually rental process isn't through Vacasa.
