The location is great. Easy access to the beach and it’s close to one of the beach access roads. The problems I have with the rental were numerous. There was water dripping from the electrical panel, all the air registers were wet and some had visible mold coming out of them. There was mold along the window sills and electrical outlets. The porch had missing and loose balusters all around, potentially dangerous for small kids and animals. The porch is shared by 4 units and parking is limited. There’s no ceiling fan in the living room so it gets very hot in there even with the ac turned down. We brought extra fans and left one running to keep air moving in the open room. The couch cushions were heavily stained, we purchased towels to lay down on them. The washing machine had mold inside the door seal and smelled terrible. One of the bunkbeds had long nails sticking out which we bent over so my granddaughter wouldn’t get poked by them. The closet doors in one of the bedrooms were off the tracks and not operational. I know it’s tough along the coast to deal with moisture and I’m sure it’s expensive to maintain a property in this area, but that being said just because something is difficult or expensive doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done or ignored.
