This was just a quick trip due to a funeral but this room was absolutely filthy. Unfortunately there were no other hotels around to switch to so we decided to stay but the room was very dirty. Won't be staying here again.

The room smelt of stale smoke and cheap cleaner. Floors looked dirty. Halls and stairwells stunk like a cheap apartment building. Elevator was out of service but to be fair they reached out to give warning. Breakfast had no hot options. Pool was dirty and freezing cold.

The bed is always either the problem or the blessing. It was a problem. Same for pillows - not a blessing. The front desk was lovely, the place was clean, but the previous traveller's folio was on the floor inside the door. Hmmm

The broken elevator is a major issue! As seniors we had to struggle with our luggage to the 2nd floor. You also have to use the entrance on the west end of building to enter ,which meant dragging your luggage across the uneven ground avoiding the dog poop to get to the entrance. We were told the elevator had not been working for about 2 years! That is not acceptable @

Apart from the elevators being out of service during my stay (which, admittedly, the hotel notified me of - but only AFTER having booked my stay), a few things detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay: 1. Upon opening my room door (316) a strange sweet smell emanated which, after some sniffing around, was coming from the AC/heater unit under the window. Every time the AC came on, the smell became reinvigorated. 2. There were silverfish bugs crawling around the tiled bathroom floor - disgusting. 3. I had to unscrew the bathtub drain because the tub was filling up as I showered. I pulled a huge clump of scummy hair packed in the drain plug receiver I tried calling the front desk to complain about these items, but the young man put me on hold, and I gave up waiting and just went to sleep.

We love this hotel. Always stay here when travelling to the east coast. However, my husband and i are in our eighties and we had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to our room because the elevator was broken. They should have informed us about the situation when we booked the room. Not impressed.

Unfortunately the elevator issue (not working) has been an ongoing problem for years. In a hotel with 4 floors the elevator is needed. Hotel needs a refresh. Staff has always been great, not their fault the elevator is never working.
