Great visit, enjoyed seeing the deer in the driveway each morning, and a red fox just over the edge of the property, to the east. Nice home, great place to go visit the surrounding WNC.

Beautiful views

This property has gorgeous views from the deck, living areas, and master bedroom. It was very clean and welcoming touches greeted us upon arrival. Kristi always responded quickly with questions prior to our stay. The only thing I would change is that the listing should make it clear that the cleaning fee does not include having to take your trash with you when you leave. That was inconvenient and unexpected.

Beautiful view

We really enjoyed our stay! The property was clean, exactly as described, comfortable, and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. Easy to get to, and a great home base for our visit to Cade’s Cove, Sliding Rock, and Deep Creek tubing in Bryson City. We can’t wait to come back!

Mountaintop views, super clean

The house is at the end of a paved road at the very top of a hill. Steep, but made it fine in a minivan. Interiors and decks were very clean and appear recently remodeled. Views are spectacular on both sides. The rear detached deck features a gas fire table. Isolated, quiet, and serene.

Autumnal inhalations

The views from the property are very much as promised by the photos. The lights and shadows play over the mountains in ever changing patterns from the dawn. Especially memorable for us was when a beautiful mist, early one morning, covered the valleys to the east and west of the dwelling, with only a few wooded valley islands peeking above it. The location is convenient to Franklin and many hiking trails as well as river recreations. We hiked trails to the west and north, mostly within 10 miles driving distance. The dwelling is clean, comfortable, well maintained, many windowed. The property manager was consistently responsive, and promptly handled a situation which arose when one of our party left some property at the dwelling after final departure.

Beautiful home with great views

Very nice and spacious home with everything you need. Robert called to let us know he had gone up and turned on some lamps and the porch light. We were coming in after dark so this was a wonderful welcome. House was very clean. The deck off the living room has a beautiful view. We were able to see several deer each morning in the side yard. Anything that we could have possibly needed was available. We ate dinner at the house each night and the kitchen was well equipped. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We were very satisfied and hope to visit the area and stay again.

Beautiful Views

We had a wonderful stay with beautiful views from every window. Property is very open and bright with a cozy feel. . Kitchen was very well stocked. Lots of outside seating with great views. Great location close to everything we wanted to do. Nearby waterfalls worth checking out. We wish we could live there. Our only suggestion is having entry code available before arrival.

Absolutely Heavenly

The house and view was more than we hoped for. This was our first time in Franklin and it will definitely not be our last. The house was very clean and comfy. For those who worry about the beds, don’t! They were very comfortable and supportive. We slept like babies. The water pressure in the showers were fantastic also! The view from the upper porch was Heaven sent. Nothing like waking up in the morning to miles of mountain tops, blue skies, drifting clouds, and the quiet sound of nature. It was so peaceful! Grab a cup of coffee, and you are set for the day. Robert was awesome! He made sure we were in and comfortable. He was very helpful with ideas about restaurants and places to visit! Dry Falls is a must!! I could go on, but better not. 🧐😊 We hope to visit again soon! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Great Location. Beautiful views. Plenty of Privacy

Really nice, spacious property that is close enough to civilization such that you have easy access to grocery stores, etc but is nestled into a nice secluded lot providing plenty of privacy. Has its own observation deck for sunrises and large deck out back for sunsets. Door Dash actually delivers to this property which is convenient (and unbelievable at the same time lol). Cherokee with Casino and Smoky Mountain Parkway for spectacular Mountain View’s are great Day trips to take. Robert was responsive and accommodating. Home is huge with nice layout. Great place for family and friends to gather or for a quiet weekend of Meditation and Yoga. Views are spectacular. If I had to recommend anything to the owners it would merely be to perhaps add a couple of amenities. Game room is spacious but not really any games in there other than cards and puzzles. Plenty of room for a pool table or ping pong table , shuffle board, something. And a hot tub would be nice. Plenty of room for it. But despite any of that this is a great place to stay at a good value. Would definitely return.

Best mountain views

Rooms are spacious. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Decks provide amazing view of the mountains. Stayed with my sister and my daughter with her 3 littles. Easy hikes to waterfalls. Visit wayah bald lookout tower. Ample parking and easy short walk to the tower for spectacular view.

Great views of the mountains from two decks

Bottom Line Up Front: great rental property that I would love to come back to. Great views, comfortable, appliances, internet and TV all rocked. One thing I have to put out that will only effect a very small percent of people **** NOT MOTORCYCLE FRIENDLY**** I don't mean the property or the host, the drive up to the cottage is over 20 degrees of ascent. You need to be a VERY competent AND confident to get to the top, turn, around, park, and get back to the road. Now for everyone else... I can't wait to come back and bring my wife and family. Loved it. Loved the area. Robert was a very good host. The area has so much natural beauty to explore and Franklin still retains that small town feel down town. You will be happy you came here.

Lovely property in a fantastic location

The house was fantastic. Had everything we could have needed and the host was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. The views from the porch and the deck are out of this world. The location was only minutes from Franklin town center yet it was so quiet and we felt so much in touch with the mountains. We really enjoyed visiting Nantahala lake with it's great water activities and breath taking views. Hiking in the area was plentiful and had options from short walks to more strenuous climbs. We will definitely be revisiting this property to explore more of the hills, lakes and towns. Maybe even just sit on the deck and take in the views and relax the day away.

Beautiful view and home at the top of a mountain!

This was an amazing home with terrific views. Enjoyed seeing beautiful sunsets and mtn views with our family. Home was fully equipped and perfect for our needs. Robert is a great host and is only minutes away if an issue arises.

Wonderful Time Away

Robert was excellent to work with. The property was very clean and had wonderful views with lots of wildlife. We saw a fox, a family of skunks, a deer, and more. If you have little ones, watch out for poison ivy in the area. Great location for surrounding activities within an hour drive.

Prairie View

Awesome rental experience. Phone call from Robert discussed when we. Would be arriving so that he could arrive before us and have house open and ready for us. Photos are great of the property but in person home is gorgeous and views are too. Robert was just a phone call away if anything was needed. All we needed to bring was our clothes etc and food We will absolutely recommend this property to others. And will rent this property again. Thank you for such a relaxing place !!!

Peaceful and Beautiful

We absolutely loved our stay at Cozy Mountain Top. Being the last house on the road it is literally on the very top of the peak with views all around! You can see neighbor houses, but they are not very close and they and the landscape is set in such that you do not have them in your line of sight and you have to look for them to see them. There is a large deck on the front and a large open deck on the back, both have spectacular views! The weather for our stay was great, we were able to leave the windows open the whole time. Robert was fantastic! He was quick to answer any questions we had and made it a point to ensure we had everything we needed! The house is close to trails, waterfalls, gem mining, and other fun back dirt roads we happened upon. All of which gave us a sense of adventure and we found some awesome solitary places with surprising views. We will definitely be back!
