Location of unit was excellent. However, it would have been nice if the owner left a guide to the area and the best way to access the beach. It took us until Wednesday to realize there was an easier way to navigate the beach and have quick access to the boardwalk, to cool off or get a snack. We decided taking the bridge was cumbersome. Once you get down the elevator, up the elevator to the bridge and down the elevator on the other side across the next property and out to the beach you realize there has to be a better more direct way. We also didn't want to pay $40.00 to rent chairs especially since we brought our own beach supplies. We found the best most direct route was to drive to the board walk and park. This gives you straight access to the beach and lands you right near the board walk. We did walk up and down the beach and get in the ocean, of course, but being near the boardwalk was the best way. We also didn't realize until the last day the itinerary of what was planned each day of the week. We finally saw a sign facing the parking lot at the end of the board walk in the middle of Floyds. So they do movies on Tuesday, Fireworks on Weds and something else on Thursday, but we missed all that since we didn't know about them. We did figure out the fireworks when we heard them going off, but we had already returned to the condo. We tried to go to miramar and Destin, but didn't have any luck there. All the beach parking was full and we couldn't get to any of the restaurants on the beach. Again, if the owners had left some tips and places they like to go, we could have probably avoided this. So we didn't go back. We just went to the beach every day, went to the pools and went back to the beach in the evening. We did do a dolphin boat ride, but after we heard them talk about crab island, we wished we would have done that instead. The owners could have left/given all this info. We are from Ohio. How were we supposed to know. The unit is very small. Much smaller than the pictures. the oven was dirty, the couch and cushions are stained. One of the elevators did break down while we were there. Someone got stuck in elevator #1 for 2 hrs. We had issues with elevator #2. It made loud noises and wouldn't go up or down. But at least we were able to get out. We called beach getaways and they asked us what we wanted them to do about it. They don't run the building. Seriously! That's your answer. They weren't helpful.
