Amazing

Easy check-in. The host was quick with his responses when I had questions. The kids loved that they were on the same level as the lazy river which we loved because jelly fish were pretty bad when we stayed! Would absolutely stay again.

Unpleasant Experience

When we arrived a table leg was broken and we had to call and have someone come to repair it. Later we noticed a chair leg was also broken and again had to call and get it repaired. We did not use the grill because when I opened the cover, I saw a large rat on the grills. The beach chairs and umbrella were rusted and worn to the point they were unusable, the boogie board was broken. A couple of day's later the sink started leaking on the kitchen floor and we called again and had to have the disposal replaced. We were clearly disappointed!

The location of the condo was amazing! It was plenty big enough for our family and lots of closet space and dressers to unpack. Right off the lazy river, easy access to the pools, large lanai for hanging out and even a covered area we could sit under during the Florida pop up rains. Plus a easy walk next door to Ricks, which has some great food and they also have boat rentals. There are few things that need some attention. First the floors need a deep clean or even steam clean. My kids feet were black after walking around inside the condo barefoot. This was immediately upon arrival, so I feel like the floor was not moped at all. The shower curtain in the hall bathroom had a large area of mold on it. The stools at the kitchen counter are peeling excessively and stuck to your skin when you sat on them and one stool was very wobbly. It would also be helpful to maybe have a map of the property to show you where everything is located. Overall we enjoyed it a great deal.

Fabulous vacation spot

Family and friends vacation

The resort is in a perfect location. Restaurants, shopping, activities and nightlife all within walking distance. WalMart is a short drive for grocery pickup. Owners quickly responded to any inquiries. Condo was roomy and clean. Highly recommend this condo!

Very nice and clean, had everything we needed to cook, pots, pans, dishes, utensils. Right out the balcony is access to the lazy river and pools, had a grill, a bar and lots of patio furniture to sit comfortably on while watching your family swim. Beautiful lovely and very relaxing.

Washer didn't work.

Everything was great except for the washer quite working our first day. Very inconvenient and disappointing. I reached out twice but both reaponses were "have to ask" to ask their manager. We never received any calls or text. The 2nd bathroom shower curtain had mold. This was our 3rd year at the resort but first time with Vrbo owners and was not impressed with service and up keep.

Direct access to lazy river!

Beautiful property - clean and very roomy! We loved the outside patio and direct access to the lazy river. Kitchen is well equipped, but bring ANY food, drinks and toiletries with you. There are no spices and condiments in the unit. You will be supplied with 1 roll of toilet paper, small bar of soap, and small tubes (1 each) of shampoo, conditioner and lotion per bathroom. I usually bring my own toiletries, but for those of you who don't, you will be in short supply. It would have been nice to have had a stocked coffee bar. Beach, pier and boardwalk is a 5 minute walk away (can be accessed by crossing the skybridge). There are shops and restaurants with amazing ocean views, and we had a huge full moon over the water this week! Property owner quick to respond to inquiries, friendly and professional. We had a great time and look forward to our next stay!

Nice condo, cute decor. Great location, not as clean as I would have expected.

First time visiting the area or Destin West Condos. We arrived about 6 pm on our check in day. First impression of the exterior of site looked good. While walking up the stairs to unit, noticed dirty walls, door frames, handles in the stair well and the front door of condo. Once inside, unit had a slight odor, door frames on entrance man Door, sliding door to patio, bathroom doors all were dirty. Floors the same and sticky, I spent 2 hours wiping down everything for my own comfort. Found gum stuck to ceiling, dirty air intakes. Which I cleaned. The dishwasher had a very foul smell, to say it was bad is an understatement. It had cuncks of food in the bottom, the soap wrapper and the water in the bottom was disgusting. I called and left a message and had a return call next day. I cleaned and ran the dishwasher a few times to get it back on track. When. The management company called, I told them the issues. They offered to send a cleaning person back to clean the floors. Had to make the bunk beds for our kids ourselves because it is off season Also they said the unit was vacant for a month and thag was likely the reason for the odo in the dishwasher and the unit. They said they were going to have it freshened up but the lock to the unit was malfunctioning and had to have a lock smith come out. I told them it was fine and that I would take care of it. I took pictures and left the unti ( as we normally do) better than we found it. These issues are more of issues I put on the 3rd party contracted cleaning company. I am sure the fact that they only care about doing the minimum, things get missed and overlooked. They closed the pools and hot tubs at 9pm, which we were told and the signs say 10 pm but whatever. Overall we had a good stay and enjoyed the unit, facilities and area. Would have been happier if I didn't spend 3 hours cleaning thing to my satisfaction. But heck, good help has been hard to find and now any help is hard to find. Would stay again and hope for a better overall experience. Happy New Year!!
