Overall, great stay

Overall, great. However, the couch bed is not sleepable and the top bunk is not big enough for an adult. It is impeccably clean but it would be so much better if we didn’t have to buy staples like salt & pepper. Pool area is clean and beach proximity is good. Great view of the Bay.

Great Location

Lovely view of the bay and pool with lazy river. There is a crosswalk over the busy highway to the beach and restaurants. Good pizza and fun bar next door at Rick’s. Condo had all the amenities we needed and was clean. Check-in was a breeze. We will be back next year.

Overall good stay

Very good location and awesome amenities. Room was clean, however, make sure to definitely pack household essentials if you’re staying more than a few days. Bed in master is not very comfortable and second bedroom is basically a hallway. Pool and hot tub were great. Just wished the lazy river was heated. Overall good stay!

Spring break

We had a great stay! There were 2 adults and 2 teens so the size of the place was perfect for us. Great location overlooking the pool and Bay Area. Pools were clean and grounds very well kept. Perfect walk across the bridge to get to the beach and a few restaurants. Very easy access to everything and we would stay again! Only thing I think could use updating is the squeaky dryer, ouch! I would definietly visit again!

The property and pools are great. The room was nice just had alot of ants. Would be nice to leave broom and mop for cleaning during week. Suggest leaving more toliet paper and trash bags for people who stay over 2 days. Needs a new dryer- Dryer sqeaks alot

Beautiful property

We love Destin West. This is the second time we've stayed here. We love the wave pool, and all the amenities provided. It is close to all the good places to eat. Highly recommend.

Great for kids

We had a great time staying here! Pool area is wonderful and only a short walk to the beach. Condo was equipped with everything we needed. Balcony chairs are tall which made me nervous with the kids but we were extra careful. My only complaint is that there was no ramp to the pool area so I had to carry the stroller up and down stairs. So be aware of that if you have an infant. Overall great stay!

Enjoyed our Stay

The room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the lazy river and pools. The condo is close to some of our favorite restaurants and the pier. Parking was convenient and secure. We almost always found a spot in the garage near our condo.

Great Vacation

Great place, easy check in and great unit. Carpets in bedrooms need to be replaced ASAP and a couple of lights were out. Top bunk is too small for even a 7 year old. No storage in that “room” either. Other than that, it was a great place. Views from the 6th floor were amazing as well.

Loved the bay and access to multiple pools

Check-in was simple, having the door code and no need to go to the office. Upon arrival, we noticed the bedspread felt damp. We called management and they brought 2 fresh bedspreads within minutes. The bay was absolutely amazing to walk around and look for crabs and shells or just float around. The fishing pier was great too. We spent most of our time on the bay side of the property, but we did eventually go across to the pools on the gulf side and loved the amenities there. The beach on the gulf side was too crammed with umbrellas and chairs with very little room for personal chairs. We went just east to the first public beach access and really enjoyed that. I had a question about the new restaurant next door and called Julie, but didn't leave a message, but she called me back. She told me about the restaurant and texted me the website and more info. The only complaints we had about the room were that the carpet in the bedroom needs a good cleaning and the rug in the living room was extremely dingy and needs to be cleaned or replaced. I did not notice until the morning of checkout, when I was putting the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, that the previous occupants had left some dirty dishes in the dishwasher and never run it. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to go back next year.

Repeat visit, one visit wasn't enough!

This was our second stay at the Destin West condos, we enjoyed our first stay so much we came back. Our first stay we were in Sandpiper 602 which was an awesome property with plenty of space and lovely finishes. We particularly enjoyed the balcony, which is somewhat recessed on that unit. This stay we were in Pelican 606 (the other unit was booked already), which is still a good sized property but slightly smaller than last years unit. It was a good size for our family of five and accommodated another couple that joined us on their way home from a funeral one evening, The only negative I had was that the top bunk on Pelican 606 does not have a very high rail and I was nervous to let my young kids up there for fear they would roll out in their sleep. It was not an issue for us as they mostly slept together in the bottom bunk or pull out couch but be aware that a young child may not work well in top bunk. (Our kids are 2, 4, 7). The kitchen was equipped with plenty of utensils, plates, cups, pans. and two coffee pots (both a pot and a keurig) There was not a pizza pan or pizza cutter but there were alternatives that worked. There were plenty of linens available, both towels and bedding for the pull out couch, including extra pillows. Another kitchen dishrag would be helpful for when washing one of them. The amenities are our favorite part, we spend a lot of time checking out the various pools and we found that it was best to get food from somewhere affiliated as there was never a horrible wait like we experienced at some of the places in town/boardwalk. The lazy river is wonderful for kids and adults and in our experience it was very clean. The garage of beach gear is great- we were able to get a wagon, chairs, an umbrella and sand toys every day. I encountered an issue with the internet while there (late at night) and the response from Julie/Josh was taken care of extremely quickly (within an hour even though it was very late)and they also followed up the next day to ensure it had been resolved. Overall we are extremely pleased with both of our visits and we look forward to our next trip down.

Destin 4 week stay

Property was lovely, however a few inconveniences including the television and wifi intermittent outages for several hours at a time. Also, upstairs neighbor renovating his flooring ( our ceiling) at all hours over an entire 2 week period. We, as well as other neighbors approached him to be more considerate .. however he did not care. Finally the home owners association spoke with him after their offices reopened in the new year, and asked him to turn off his saw after 10pm.
