This is our second year to come back to the Pelican to celebrate the wife and I’s anniversary. And again it did not disappoint, John and Daniel are such awesome waiters along with the entire staff.. Mike the bar tender was awesome.. so many great people and the resort itself is amazing with amazing dining and lazy river. Management has done an outstanding job and I’m sure we will be back for our 3rd straight year next year! -Clint and Ali from OKC

I really enjoyed the resort. Everyone was friendly and the property is nice. By the end of the vacation - 3 days- I realized that there is a hospitality fee and because the staff wasn’t giving me an itemized receipt I was tipping on top of the fee not the cost of the food/drink. It felt intentional. I should have asked when the math wasn’t mathing. We had an early flight so the night before I went to close out and was told that the front desk is staffed 24/7 however when I went to the front desk early the next morning I had to call from my cell phone twice and still no one showed up. I finally found one of the valet attendants and he went to the office right behind the front desk and there was a lady there who ignored us until he went and got her. Outside of these 2 staffing issue it was a lovely place. I would stay again but be more aware is the resort policies.

Do NOT stay at this hotel. The website is misleading. The pictures make you think you’re going to stay in a charming resort but the hotel is run down and dirty. Most of the staff just sit around and do minimal work. The cleaning staff would sit outside our room every morning at 8 am talking loudly and waiting for us to leave so they could clean. The hotel is so loud you can hear everything going on outside, even the cars driving by on the street. We never received enough towels and the room was still dirty even after housekeeping. The food and beverages take forever. It took over 30 mins just to get a soda or bottle of water. There’s one restaurant that serves every meal and the service is very, very slow. The food was average. The pool is tiny and ran out of towels daily. The towels they do have are stained and have holes in them. We stayed for 5 days and received the worst service we’ve ever received in a hotel. This is not a 4 star hotel by any means. The only positive things about this hotel is that it is on the beach, the view is incredible and rooms are very large in size. Again, do not stay here! Most disappointing hotel experience we’ve ever had.

The hotel is very pretty and right on the beach which is a plus. The service though was awful. They are very understaffed and the staff they do have are very overwhelmed. Lunch poolside took up to 2 hours to receive one day. They had 1 server covering the entire pool area during spring break. Ridiculous. I felt very bad for the staff that was going crazy to keep the customers happy. This hotel needs to hire more people asap.

Do not stay in this property. Hi. Here is my feedback from our stay so far 1. The restrooms on the first floors are dirty and smelly ( we noticed it on our arrival) 2. The staff at the beach. Immediately after setting up the lounges, asked me to scan a QR code without any prompt that it was to tip him. Not very nice. 3. Not enough towels at the pool or beach. And they looked old and not clean. One of them had a huge hole 4. Food pricey and not good 5. Servers were not helpful. I had to ask so many times for sugar when having breakfast 6. Coffee was served cold We had stayed in other resorts in the area and never had this experience. Unfortunately, we won't return here.

We spent an unforgettable weekend at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, and everything about our stay was exceptional. The service was outstanding—every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our experience perfect. The location is unbeatable—right on what I truly believe is the best beach in Fort Lauderdale. The views were breathtaking, the beach was clean and quiet, and it felt like our own private paradise.
