This rental looks appealing in the photos, but upon arrival it was clear that the property is extremely worn and poorly maintained.The dishwasher was broken when we arrived and was not replaced until the end of day five of our nine-day stay. Washing dishes by hand after every meal for a family of six was not how we expected to spend our vacation. The pool was exceptionally dirty. It was supposed to be cleaned on our arrival day and again three days later, but neither cleaning occurred. We had to call to request service, and even after someone was sent out, the pool remained so dirty that our children did not want to swim in it. The pool deck was also covered in iguana droppings. The hot tub was also very dirty, and the cover lift was broken, making the hot tub difficult to open and close.The previous guests’ garbage was left in the trash when we arrived, and the host asked us to take it out ourselves. Thankfully the host had their handyman pass by to remove the past guest’s garbage. The front door did not lock properly (the flush bolt at the bottom did not secure into the ground). The door could be pulled open with little effort, which made us uncomfortable for the first couple of nights until the handyman repaired.There is a low spot in front of the door to the backyard where water would constantly puddle.
