Lake vacation

We very much enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The views were amazing and the closeness to the marina was great. The kitchen was very well stocked. The 6 of us had plenty of room. The only complaints would be that there was no soap in the bathrooms for the showers and we had to buy it at the grocery store. Second- the house doesn't have central air and all the bedrooms got very hot. The free standing unit wasn't able to cool the house off. We would definitely stay again but just not in the heat of the summer.

Fantastic getaway spot

This property is absolutely lovely and so well situated. Attention to detail throughout. Well coordinated decorative touches and so very comfortable. From the couches to the oversized recliner to the fluffy towels - it is ideal for a vacation. And what a view you get every day. Location perfect for water events and within an hour of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Great property with lovely views

The house is really cute, super clean and had everything we needed. I love that the kitchen table and the living room had enough space for everyone. Very spacious indeed. The host was fantastic!

Beautiful views

This is a true lake house with gorgeous mountain and lake views. It is more spacious than the pictures portray. The deck offers the best views but needs TLC. A couple of misleading details in the listing are: there is no central ac. There are stand-alone units that have a difficult time cooling the upstairs bedrooms in the summer heat. There is a fun foosball table but no regulation pool table. Though there is a futon in the basement, it isn't really a welcoming area to sleep. Overall, we enjoyed our stay (especially after Jeff, handyman, came and replaced one of the malfunctioning ac units!). The kids enjoyed fishing at the lake and we really enjoyed eating at Horsetooth Tavern! We made friends with some wildlife on the property and communication with the owners was good. Again, if you are looking for a lake get-away in the mountains, this is a great option!

Property Description

From the pictures of the home the house looked like it was on a hill. I asked ahead of time if we were able to park our boat in the driveway. I was told yes they are able to fit boats on the property's driveway. When we arrived we attempted to pull our boat up the extremely steep driveway and got stuck. The hill is very narrow and steep and not enough room to park or pull a boat. We were able to reverse out of the driveway with the boat, that took about 2 hours due to the nartow and steep driveway.

Cute Casa!

Paddle boarding, gravel biking, hiking & baby deer right outside your door. The house was very clean with cute decor. Very comfy master bed! The he deck is older and needs some love. We kept our dog on leash while on it so he wouldn’t jump out between rungs to chase a deer. Host was fabulous to work with!

Great house with a beautiful view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beds were super comfy and the weather allowed us to spend the afternoon on the deck overlooking the reservoir. The kitchen had everything we needed including coffee and tea. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing view

We checked in at night and the driveway was a little steep and scary. The house is really nice and comfortable. The decks offer a beautiful view of the water and beautiful red hills. The kitchen is great with everything we needed. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the lower level. There was no pool table as stated in the house description and not really a great place to hang out. Wouldn’t sleep down there either.

Family Christmas visit

We stayed for a long weekend to visit family for Christmas. Appreciated how spotlessly clean the house was, and we enjoyed the deck and views. We all went for a beautiful hike from the front door! Would definitely stay again. Had everything we needed and check out was a breeze. Thank you!

Beautiful House

Shayna is an excellent host. She is responsive and understanding. Unfortunately, 2 of our 4 ppl. were diagnosed with Covid during our trip, Shayna handled it with grace. The house has a great layout with lots of space. Beds were comfortable. Lots of deer in the neighborhood and they are not spooked by people. The house could use additional cleaning, moving furniture, cleaning corners ect.

Amazing views!!!

This place was perfect for our weekend!! The views are amazing and the deer that hang out in the drive or yard are so peaceful!! The kitchen was well stocked and dining/living area are spacious!! There was a last minute issue with one of the toilets but the host gave us as much notice as she could and we still chose to stay there. Overall, GREAT place!!!

A comfortable home for our girls' family long weekend

This home is in a beautiful setting and we were happy with our time there. We especially enjoyed morning coffee watching the sunrise over the hills beyond Horsetooth Reservoir. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was plenty of seating for our group of 8 women. Shayna was very responsive from the time we were choosing the property, to check in and answering a few questions while we were there. Please note, our family frequently stays at VRBO's. I consider 4 stars to be quite good, preserving 5's for a space that "wow" us.

Great Lake House

We were in Ft Collins for parents weekend at CSU to spend time with our son and his friends. We did not want to stay in a hotel, so we found this gem on VRBO. The house was perfect for our family. The house is well stocked with all the kitchen essentials for cooking meals. The house is spacious has a great living room with a big tv, 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds and 2 bathrooms. The view of horsetooth reservoir from the front deck was beautiful. Our only input is the basement had a weird smell to it. Not a big deal, just an observation. We will stay here again and would recommend anyone looking for a great place to stay on the lake and near ft collins, give this house a try.

Road trip

Short weekend stay driving back home to Texas from Montana. Very clean, everything you need. Comfortable master bed (don’t know about the other beds); didn’t use them. Very nice house over looking the water. Would recommend.

Beautiful view

Nicely decorated, and very clean home. The 2 decks give you a prime view of horsetooth with photo opportunities of the sunrise and sunset. The driveway and parking was the only deterant. Handicap guests were not able to access.

Lake view casa

This was a great property for our family. We usually camp at horsetooth, but the weather has not been on our side. There was plenty of room for all of us (including 2 babies) without feeling like everyone was on top of each other. Each room has a form of cooling (air conditioner unit or swamp cooler). The views are amazing! Shayna was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay great!
