The hotel Layla Gocek, is a hidden jem, it is a little bit of paradise on the outskirts of Gocek. It is a family run establishment and you feel like part of that family. The outside gym was great as were the 2 lagoon pools, the swim up pool bar was an added bonus. The whole establishment was being continually cleaned. You could have been in Thailand or Bali, everyone was amazing. We will definitely be going back and my advice is.... Try it yourself.

Although our overall rating of the Layla is ‘good’ it could have been so much better if the staff were better managed and trained. (If you’re a Brit think Fawlty Towers!) The hotel and setting has a Balinese feel, almost tropical, with 2 beautiful pools. We stayed in 2 rooms both of which could only be described as ‘rustic’ in terms of quality but there was a certain charm and uniqueness which, if you could see beyond the dirty footprints in the carpet and mould in the showers, was quite enchanting. The beds and bedding were very comfortable but for some reason our cups and glasses weren’t cleaned or changed during our whole stay and we had to constantly ask for more tea and coffee supplies as these weren’t topped up every day. The property description is somewhat misleading. There is no spa or gym, and when we asked for a massage we were told that the woman wouldn’t come but we could take a taxi to her place. Children were also present for most of our stay so not ‘adult only’ as described. The inclusive breakfast is fantastic but slightly haphazard. One day plentiful and another not! Breakfast is served in a garden pavilion where you are accompanied by cats, dogs, chickens and peacocks, again very charming. We also had lunch and dinner a number of times all of which were of excellent quality but responsibility for taking orders and serving seems to fall on the shoulders of one guy despite other staff seemingly being present which doesn’t make sense.

Layla is a great place to be. It is like an oasis, away from everything else, in its own little universe with beautiful roosters, chickens, peacocks, dogs, ducks, etc. It is beautifully designed and decorated. It is like Bali in Turkey. The only downside for us was the poor management. The head of staff was extremely stressed and unfortunately his mood was not matching the beautiful and relaxing surroundings. We are surprised how the management did not pick up on that because most guests did. At times, we were scared of asking for anything fearing his negative or defensive reaction. The newly built second pool has opened while we were there and there were some construction still going on around it. We thought that this could have already finished before the season has begun. All in all Layla is a lovely place. With a little bit more care and professional management, it would be unbeatable.

Sadece odanın temizliğini çok iyi bulmadım. Fazla örümcek ağı ve örümcek vardı. Yerde de karıncalar dolaşıyordu. Doğanın içinde olduğu için çok normal fakat odanın içinde olmasaydı daha rahat edebilirdik. Onun haricinde her şey harika, çalışanlar güler yüzlü ve yardımseverdi. Oda daha temiz olabilirdi eksikliklerin sebebi belki bahçe odasında kaldığımız içindi. Barda çalışab arkadaş istediğim kokteyli hazırladı. Kahvaltı açık büfeydi ve çeşit fazlaydı. Resepsiyon hizmetleri daha iyi olabilirdi gerekli bilgileri iletme konusunda wifi şifesi gibi.. Otelin bahçesi, havuzu, bitkiler, palmiyeler, merkeze olan konumu, denize olan konumu muhteşem. Kesinlikle bir kez daha ziyaret edeceğiz.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Layla Göcek von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute genossen. Die gesamte Anlage ist ein Traum – eingebettet in einen über Jahre gewachsenen Dschungel und umgeben von zwei grossen Pools. Die Bungalows sind zwar ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, doch genau das verleiht ihnen heute einen ganz besonderen Charme. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine mehr als ausreichende Auswahl, und das Personal ist stets aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Für uns ist das Layla Göcek eine wahre Oase abseits des Trubels – ein Ort, an den man unbedingt zurückkehren möchte. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel zu 100 % weiter!

Desværre ikke som forventet trods høj rating!

Vi har været på mange hotelophold rundt omkring i verden, men ikke oplevet så uprofessionelt “hotel” som dette! Det hele startede med at vores velkomst ved receptionen, som ingen receptionist havde. Da der så endelig kom en receptionist blev vi informeret meget lidt om faciliteterne. På selve værelset var der masser af mangler! Der var rester af master insekter på værelset. Ingen telefon til akutte situationer. Poolen blev kun renset en enkelt dag på de 4 nætter vi var der. Området var meget pænt, med palmer osv. Priserne er 3 dobling af hvad de koster ude i byen! Ejerne af hotellet hilser kun på deres venner og familie. Vi havde dialog med andre på Hotellet, som også oplevede det samme. Så der var forskelsbehandling. Det er kun hotellets arbejdere der hilser på turisterne. Stranden som der vises billeder af på hotellets bestillingsside er det rene fup! Det er en offentlig strand, så her skal du selv medbringe solseng osv. Saunaen som vi fandt frem til tændes kun ved bestilling, ellers skal der spares. Morgenmadsbuffet er kedelig. Det eneste positive er deres bar som er i poolen og deres massør som gør et godt stykke arbejde!
