What an amazing stay! Everything was clean and stocked and the house was so beautiful! Instructions were given for everything and communication with the host was top notch! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be staying here!

This place worked well for us. The location was convenient south of downtown in a great old neighborhood with brick streets and beautiful homes. The king bed is comfortable making sleep a nonissue. There were minor issues that remained reported but unresolved during the Friday to Monday stay…the French doors refrigerator’s left door was broken and so the fridge could only be easily used via the right door. Also there were burnt out light bulbs without any replacements to be found. The conversation pit is not comfortable but does spark conversation about the fact that it’s there. Street parking worked fine though, depending upon the time of year, you may get bird bombed.

The property is in a quiet neighborhood. Close to several hang out spots for those who drink socially. The street is a made of brick so it is kind of bumpy. Go slow and it will be fine. Oh yes and there is on street parking. Sometimes not in front.

We loved the quirkiness of this property. It was in a great and safe neighborhood on old brick streets. We were about 15 minutes away from every place we wanted to go.

Beautiful home with cool features in a great neighborhood. Very comfortable beds! The washer and dryer were an added bonus. Great communication with owner. Easy to access and friendly neighbors. Close to everything in Evansville. Loved it!

Great stay

The house was amazing . They had air conditioners in almost every room . House was in a very decent neighborhood. There were some minor issues but besides that I would recommend this home.

Neighborhood has cool old houses. Something to talk about in Haynie's Corner, was a nice place to stay. Would suggest some extra comfortable seating options. Fun decor with nice bedrooms.

Great location

2nd year in a row that we have stayed at this property for a dance competition. Family loves the uniqueness of the property and the location is wonderful. Has all the amenities you need. The only con I had was window a/c in the 3rd bedroom sounded like it was dying a horrible death. Thankfully it was cool enough I didn't need to use it.

The place was visibly cool. It was clean. The sunken living room although looks inviting in the photos is like sitting in a concrete stadium.

Concert at the Ford Center

The place was AWESOME. The front porch has 4 chairs and pillows to sit and have your morning coffee.. that’s what we did! The dinning room is exquisite! With amazing colors on the walls and curtains it brings you back in time. There was a full length mirror in the that helps when getting ready to go out on the town! The conversation pit is awesome. Only problem it is not comfortable!! It’s hard and concrete so you move around a lot. The first bedroom when you walk onto the home is the one my husband and I stayed in was great! There was a fan on the room and the bed was really comfortable. Only issue is we had baby ants in our room. I know it’s spring so I just dealt with it… didn’t bother me. Also I wish there was another side table on the other side of the bed. Had to put my phone and personal belongings on the floor on that side of the bed. The other 2 bedrooms are great and decorated with flare. The kitchen was nice because it was roomy and had an island in the kitchen with gives you more room if you are cooking. The back yard was cute. There was a chair out there to sit and enjoy the day. The home is located on the art district in Evansville Indiana. Walking distance to a really cute corner store, Moe’s Lounge (cigar/ whiskey bar) and Spanky’s Pizza (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). Over all our stay was excellent!! The owner was amazing and answered all my questions when asked and was very friendly!! Will definitely go back if we ever come through Evansville again!!

Great place to stay while in Evansville.

Cute place and neat location. No issues while staying in town for our sons wedding. Liz was very accommodating and quick to resopnd to any questions. The bed was one of the best we have ever had and we have stayed in many VRBOs. Two nights rest just like home. Thank you and I am sure we will be back.

Love the pit

We enjoyed our stay at Something To Talk About. Liz was very responsive on a couple of questions. Home is very cool, spacious and pleasant. Pictures accurate. We love the neighborhood and plan to stay again next time we visit my son who’s attending Univerisity of Evansville.

Clean but misleading

The property was very clean and well decorated. It’s a nice place if you only plan to sleep and not lounge/hangout in a group. The “conversation pit” is a hard stoop with carpet over it that isn’t even wide enough to lay on. Owner says it’s padded but it feels like padding under carpet, not actual furniture padding. The living room has the only tv in the house and your only other seating option is a kid sized papasan chair in the corner. Zero couches in the whole place. House was clean but pit smells like kitty litter.

Our getaway

Loved the conversation pit and the games were fun! Super good close in a walkable distance and a great place to stay if you want to hit a concert at the Ford Center.
