Did not use the pool, Oct is just not a time to swim :-).Hot tub was well maintained and clean. Fire pit was great. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots & pans, as well as dishes and glass ware. WiFi and TV streaming were excellent. My wife really enjoyed the deer visits each day. They are almost tame . She really enjoyed feeding them corn.

First Class Vacation.

Staying at Deer Haven was a great choice. Everything you could think of was available. The kitchen was well stocked, From appliances to dish ware we never were in need of anything.

Amazing Vacation

We stayed at Deer Haven for a long weekend and It was absolutely amazing!! It holds up to its name for sure as all throughout the day we saw so many deer! The cabin was fully stocked with any appliance, dish, etc that would be needed. We enjoyed the area it was located in and the booklet with all the recommendations of things to do/where to eat around town! We will definitely be back again soon!!

Enjoyed seeing the deer so close. Nice cabin, only problems were no gas for grills, could not grill steaks brought and fireplace does not work. But other than that a good stay.

Beautiful, quiet cabin in a gated resort!

Loved this cabin for our family get away! It was perfect for everyone. The community rec center with indoor pool, arcade, putt putt and pickle ball had all of us having good family fun! The cabin itself was perfect and we loved the hot tub with deer walking around in the trees. Beautiful and quiet location, you feel like you are in the middle of no where yet you are only a short drive down the mountain to downtown Elijay and other local hot spots!

Great mountain getaway

This place was great. Super clean with lots of interesting small details. Plenty of dishes and glasses, all appliances. Big screen TV's everywhere. Great response from owner. The hot tub was fantastic. We used it every night. We distributed 50 pounds of corn to all the deer. Wifi was fast and plenty to watch on the TV's.

Beautiful and very clean cabin. Plenty of space and beautiful views. Our only inconvenience was the WiFi didn’t work the management didn’t help. The tv works with internet! So we spent a week without internet or tv.

Relaxing getaway

Home was comfortable and private. You could see other homes but they are down the hill/down the road and didn’t feel too close in any way. Very relaxing. We used the hot tub and fire pit, watched deer, played the board games at the house, and cooked dinner at home each night. Nice wrap around deck. About a 10 minute drive to Fish Trap Park/swinging bridge/outdoor pool. 15 minutes to rec center. Roads are winding but we didn’t pass many cars and just took it slow. Had a great time!

This cabin is cozy and homey. The main issue for us was the ROACHES. We killed 6-7 over the weekend, but the worst if the one that woke us up bc it was crawling on us IN BED at 3am. We couldn’t sleep after that. Thankfully that was our last night. Also, there were no Wi-Fi/tV instructions and that took up unnecessary frustration the first night. Only streaming apps, no cable - which is fine unless you don’t have accounts to the apps or want to watch football. Also, bc of outlet covers, you are unable to plug in phone chargers, etc, except the bathroom. Other than these easily fixable things, the cabin was great. Fix these and it would get 5 stars from us. Note: the roads are curvy and nerve racking with minimal guard rails, so be mindful in the winter.

Great place

The cabin and area was beautiful. The pools were a little crowded and one had a green tint to the wall. We lost power on one of the days at 10:00 am and did not come back on until 3:00pm. Called vacasa and the person the phone was helpful in getting the information and told us vacasa is great about taking care of its customers as she understood with the heat we had to be displaced for the entire we didn’t have power. We got another call saying vacasa has a policy where they will not compensate for those types of stay disruptions. Basically they were sorry but we are going to charge you in full. I just felt a little something would have been in order seeing how we stayed there a week. Like I said. Cabin was great. Location was great. Just didn’t like the misinformation.

The cabin is beautiful and the deer are the best. Great place for a family or just a romantic getaway in the presence of nature. So many places to visit with in driving distance. We will be back every year. The cabin had everything we needed and more!

Just what we needed

Easy to find, easy to get settled in, and write down the street from other family members who don't have enough room for us. We will be staying at this place again! It is way in the woods and very private if that is what you're looking for. Very clean and very spacious for two families with young children. Thank you!

Honeymoon Getaway

Absolutely amazing the view the property, everything was so clean . The decor and furniture were Absolutely beautiful. Waking up and walking out to see all the deer was amazing, had a few actually eat out of my hand, amazing experience for sure. the cabin is set up beautiful and is super cozy..made our honeymoon unforgettable and we can't wait to stay again ..
