This hotel chain is sad. In an age when hotels are thriving, Shilo Inns are slowly deteriorating into what I can only predict as oblivion. I couldn't leave this property fast enough. Bed uncomfortable. Hallway floors dirty...the kind where one tracks-in dirt on bare feet (to go to the pool) and you then see it on the wet tile floor of the bathroom. Pool was murky green. I decided not to submerge below my waist--afraid it was an unhealthy condition. Beds disappointingly uncomfortable. Pillows were big balls of awful fluff. Toilet continuously ran. Shower made huge ratchet noise and would not run water. Tried it again in the morning and while the ratchety sound was still there, it ran only cold water. The only good thing in the morning "snack" was the apple. Yuck to the Folgers-like coffee. I left the property as quick as possible without a shower or even a shave. The only words in my mouth were, "you get what you pay for", but sadly there are other properties for the same price that are good experiences. "Sad" sums it up.

Sheets were not changed on the beds. We found a dirty sock and a pacifier in the beds. Reported to desk with no result. That’s really awful to sleep in somebody else’s bed when the sheets have been already slept in.

Pool was down and which was main reason we choose there. Also the hotel seemed a little on the dirty side. So after check in my wife said for us to just continue driving.

Really run down hotel. The curtains were torn and ratty. The panel was useless on the air conditioner controls. Part of it was missing. The hotel hallways smelled like mold and garbage, and obviously worn and very dirty. It was disgusting. The desk clerks didn't care when we told them, they just shrugged and said call the corporate office. The outside of the building was overrun with weeds. Pool and hot tub were empty, gym room was closed.
