Mattress was awful- springs worn and felt like sleeping on bricks. Toilet did not flush. Shower was awful and went everywhere. Whole place smelt like mould. Rooms were old. Wifi did not work. Parking was very limited and the middle of a construction site and had to pay almost £8 for one day. Kettle was disgusting. House keeping came before 9am. Not worth the money at all. Needs some serious TLC. Book elsewhere.

The entire experience was terrible. The room did not look like the photos shown on Expedia. It was misrepresented. We paid a fair bit for this hotel and we found mould in the bathroom, carpet was disgusting and lifting; the vinyl floor in the bathroom was lifting; the bathroom door did not lock or even latch closed; beds were horrible and so uncomfortable (we actually slept fully dressed on top of everything); the hallways smelled. We complained and asked for a better room, but we were denied and were offered no sort of compensation. We actually left after one night even though we had paid for two because we couldn’t take it. Expedia should be showing more accurate pictures and give a better representation of the hotel.

This place was awful. We weren’t even comfortable putting our bags on the floor, so I put mine on an ironing board and my husband put his in the bathtub. The TV didn’t work and the curtains were falling off. During the night (which was very loud), cigarette smoke came through the air vent, which we couldn’t control. We would not have stayed a second night even though we booked/prepaid online, except that we didn’t want to waste any of our full single day in Edinburgh on relocating. We just left at 7 am and came back only when time to sleep. One plus was a gentleman who worked there who helped us figure out where to park our rental car.

Room was stinking of mould. Soon as you opened the door to go into the room the smell hit you. Bed has got to be one of the worst I’ve ever laid on, every hour waking up to turn trying to find a suitable position. Creaked like mad so if you’re in bed with your partner you either wake them up or they wake you up. Best to try and synchronise your hours so your turning at the same time. Marks all over the walls and in places I can only imaging was squashed insects. Mould on the windows, clearly havnt been cleaned for a very very long time. The stairs upto the room were in a sorry state also, paint peeling off the walls and scattered all over the stairs. There was an industrial moister catching machine in the stairwell too which seemed to be going at full speed. We were booked for 3 nights but left after 2 and just headed home. Couldn’t stand another night in the room and especially on that bed. Not usually like me, I could sleep in a Photo Booth outside Tesco on a night out in the month of January with only the fluorescent light to keep me warm and that would be (and was) more comfortable. Can’t believe they have the cheek to pay for parking too. Safe to say I’ll not be back there.
