We were given an accessible room as no others were available, which we don’t mind however the room was dark despite the size, due to small window which didn’t really let any light in. However, the worst part was the damp smell which lingered and the noise, I believe the gym was above us and it sounded like dumbbell’s being dropped continuously, this was still ongoing at 11 and 12 at night making it difficult to sleep. A plus point is that the bed was comfy, however, with the noise and smell it had put us off staying again.

My husband and I stayed here the night before our cruise and again the night after, our room on both nights were quiet as they were on the 3rd and 4th floor. the bed was a king bed and very comfortable and even though there was a glass door to the bathroom it was still private. The check in staff were very helpful and pleasant. There is a starbucks in the hotel which is perfect for a nice tea or coffee and a snack. My husband and I went for a meal in there bar and grill which was lovely. There was no wardrobe in either the rooms but there were hangers on a rail to put your clothes on. There is a bus stop down the road if your not driving, where you can go into Southampton or Winchester.We really liked this hotel even though it away from the port

Modern hotel with comfortable room

Modern hotel, clean, quiet & efficient. Room size fine with good amenities (coffee machine, large TV w/ satellite feed inc sports), excellent bed. Glass divide between room & bathroom odd - this is becoming an unwelcome modern hotel "norm" - W/C, at the least ought be separate/not visible. Only window in the room was in the bathroom. Bathroom also needed more hooks for towels etc. Hotel facilities good. Bar with sports TV, food was fine but expensive. Drinks regular SE priced. Onsite Starbucks open during the day. Pool facility good, although access via stairs a bit odd. Didn't use the gym, but appeared to be a good size & well equiped. Onsite car park fine & easy to find a space.

Awkward

An unusual room. I was staying with my daughter, and slightly awkward having a glass door separating the bathroom and toilet from the bedroom. What a strange design choice, as this let down our stay. Who wants to stay in a room where there is no privacy when you’re sitting on the loo or in the shower.
