Not impressed
The room was very nice and clean. The spa tub was nice. However, the posting says, enjoy the 23 acre property or grill your favorites in the courtyard. My bad, I assumed there was a grill so I took meat for my two day stay. There is no grill. There was no refrigerator in my room so I had to go to the store 20 minutes away to buy an ice chest and a small gas grill since my porterhouse was already seasoned and ready to cook. I assembled the little grill and started cooking my steak. I get a call from someone in Los Angeles saying that the owner says you’re barbecuing and you need to stop. I totally understand this but it was a small gas grill not charcoal and flames. I asked if I could finish cooking it on my tailgate and they never answered me. I asked again later and they said there is a burn ban. I went down the street to finish my steak which took 5 minutes. On my way downstairs, I missed the last step because the stairs and floor are of the same wood and grain direction. I fell down and have a purple possibly broken toe. I just went home after that. This stay ended up costing me hundreds of dollars for nothing. I didn’t even finish the two day stay. I have been going through a rough divorce and just wanted some peace and alone time. I never imagined that my time alone could make things worse.
