Great stay

Close enough to anything you needed in Destin as well.

Lovely unit with extra privacy

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit butrs up against the wider part of the Penthouse building so the patio feels like it’s tucked away in a private corner. There is enough room on the patio with the ground in front of it for lots of people to gather without being in anyone’s way. That is my favorite part of unit 008.The furnishings are beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is everything you’d expect so if you are a bit of a chef, you will want to bring your own knife. The master bedroom is huge so plenty of room for a pack-n-play if needed. This was our second time in unit 008 and I will choose it again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our five week stay at Silver Dunes was wonderful! This is our fifth year staying here and every time it has been great! The staff from Amber, Mary Lou, Andy and others are always very pleasant. Our property is always clean, neat and well furnished. Golfing at Blackstone, Eagle Springs, Links, and Regatta Bay was fantastic. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is in serious disrepair. The second bedroom is unusable because the light outside the window lights the room up. There was so much junk stuffed in every closet there was barely room to hang your clothes. Big gouges in walls everywhere and main bedroom shower needs a complete rehab. Unable to use that shower. Absolutely nothing in kitchen to cook with like s&p, any spices,oil, etc. No dish soap either. Entire place needs a deep clean. Beach towels would be nice. Very disappointed.

The owners keep this place very neat. Everything we need. Amber and Mary Lou are the best. Always willing to help out. The grounds are always kept clean.

Nice but improvements needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit for the most part was well maintained- sofas, chairs, beds, etc.. The master shower floor pan does need attention as the laminate is peeling up. The guest bathroom was wonderful in comparison. The "sofa" table in the kitchen was perfect to store all the shelf groceries. We weren't sure if the hanging fish on the wall was decorative or to be used as a cutting board- we borrowed one from our friends that were there just in case it was not, so a note to use it would be appropriate. The knives need a good sharpening.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a wonderful time during my stay in Unit #8. I found it to be just the right size for my part of 3 adults and 4 children. I'm looking forward to our trip there again next year and maybe very interested in the same unit. This will be decided by the number of people in my party. I look for that number to grow and may have to find a 3 bedroom. I spent the last 3 days there by myself and found it very comforting and quiet. If I were to or may I make a suggestion, I would put some no-slip tape strips in the bottom of the tub shower. I only say this because I nearly slipped and fell on two different occasions. I feel that this would be a safety issue worth the owners looking into. Just a suggestion. Overall I was very pleased and so was my family. We thank you very much

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third stay at Silver Dunes and the second time we rented Unit 8. The unit is very well supplied, and furnishings are nice. All appliances were replaced since last year and really great!! Amber and Mary Lou and staff are very friendly and helpful if we need anything. The property is kept very clean. The laundry room is always spotless and the charcoal grille we used was cleaned out every night. Thanks to their Maintenace staff. The Acme Oyster house and Tommy Bahamas happy hour are nice places to eat.

Only complaint that there could have been better communication about the gate code as the first members of our family had trouble getting in when they arrived before noon. We were also surprised to find the pool gates locked on Thanksgiving without any notice posted. But overall would return and recommend to others.

Kitchen had all that we needed, and extra towels in the bathroom was great (although we did not open the cabinet door to notice them until the last day!)We had a problem with the sprinklers spraying on to the patio area, so many of our towels and suits that were out to dry were wet in the morning. Also the gate code was incorrect on the paper in the room - love that you have the information in the room, just ensure that it is accurateThere was also conflicting info re: depart time - Email confirmation and the yellow card stated 1000, yet another paper (the legal sized detailed one) stated 900

Great location

Location was excellent. Buildings are old and dated but was decent and clean. Would have been nice to have a larger Master bath and washer/dryer. No essentials were provided except dishwasher pods and toilet paper....nothing extra.

Our amazing vacay!!!

Let me just say that we had an amazing time!!! The condo was exactly as listed. It was very clean, very close to the beach and pool. It was easy to locate, and very close to restaurants and shopping areas. I would definitely book with them again. Thanks guys, you helped make our memories great!!!!
