Based on the photos online, the resort and room appeared much nicer than they actually were. We paid extra for what we expected to be a higher-quality stay, but I don't feel we received the value we paid for.When we checked in, we found two liquid air fresheners leaking onto the floor, creating a large puddle. Unfortunately, my 3-year-old slipped and fell in it. I do appreciate that the host reimbursed me for the cleaning supplies since I needed to clean up the mess.The splash pad was closed during our stay, which was disappointing since this was not disclosed on the VRBO listing. I was told this was an HOA thing. The unit also had some cleanliness issues, including dirty dishes, no broom available, a dirty bathroom door, a broken garbage can lid, toilet seats that slid around, a bathtub with buildup around the sliding door track that also drained poorly. The elevators were also concerning—they were loud, squeaky, and felt sketchy. That said, there were several positives. Check in & check out were simple, parking was convenient and close to the building, the staff was friendly and easy to reach, the beach was just a short walk.
