Great location, house needs some work...

Location and remedeling of the house are great. The issues are the following: advertised with 4 showers, only has 3; backroom door has no seals and loud noises from insects can be heard all night, slept with pillows on head every night; internet was out most our stay, they fixed it on our last evening; wooden gate was broken on arrival; pool was dirty on arrival, my teenager cleaned it. Someone arrived on 3rd day to clean as well; AC vents were leaking condensing water, as homeowner the water on floors concerned me; hot water (tank or tankless) was not suffecient; pickleball gear was broken on arrival, my kids were really looking forward to this but only 1 paddle fully worked; existing cosmetic damages around home that made us nervouse we would be liable for (loose handles, dents, scratches, loose towel hangers). There is very little information about the bikes and golfkart in the listing, its a 6 seater and you get the bike code via email (check junk folder)

Great house

The house and pool was great. This is a new house so I had asked what they had for pool chairs and some other odds and in and we packed more than we needed to because they said they didn’t have stuff, when in reality they did. That’s an okay problem but I wish they knew everything that was in the houses so I didn’t have to pack extra stuff for nothing. Overall, great experience!

A few tips

Great property and location! A heads up on the public/private beach situation would be helpful as this was our first time to Destin. The check in process was rough and we never got checkout instructions. The house was beautiful, perfect for our group ranging from 1 year old - 14 year old and adults. The only thing I wish we would have had would be a crockpot but we were happy to leave a lot behind!
