The rooms were quiet and safe. Sorely disappointed that the pool wasn’t running. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. Room was clean, older but clean. Beds not the most comfortable but slept well because room was quiet.

Only time I've ever asked for a different room. The sheets had stains and burn holes in them. The comforter was stained. Worse of all, the fitted sheet was ripped into shreds almost. I was surprised they used it. After gettting harassed about moving the bedding back to look at it, staff reluctantly changed our room but kept saying, "this is the last room I can give you". That certainly rubbed me the wrong way because we requested the change less than 10 min after being in the first room. Made us feel like we did something wrong. Decatur is hotel dessert and they are all kind of crappy but steer clear of this one. 2nd room was fine though.

Decent

Walked into lobby to check in. Another couple had been there 15 minutes with no service. Rang bell. No person at the desk. Five minutes. I called the telephone number. No answer. I called again. Finally a person came from down the hall. Checked in. Room was ok. Looked clean. Rained overnight. Window leaks. Appears to have leaked for long time. Burn mark on bathtub, looked like cigarette. Bathroom towel had brown stains. No freezer area in fridge. Great choice of shampoo and soap, Dove, and in the fragrance I prefer! Bed was very comfortable. Three pillows, one was quite lumpy. Sheets wrapped around lightweight comforter, was a little weird, but clean and fresh. Breakfast was very dissatisfying. Four slices of bread, eight biscuits, empty crock pot of gravy. Egg circles in fridge. Milk was ice cold, perfect! Waffle dispenser dirty, spilled batter. Cold children cereals looked full and good, selection of oatmeal. Bananas in various states of ripening. Perfect. Awakened by text from hotel asking for checkout time, rude, checkout stated 11, didn’t appreciate being awakened. Shower was great once I figured out how it worked. Great water pressure and shower head choices. Typical hotel noises, quiet enough. Overall decent stay and I would, and probably will, stay again…
