Lovely little barn house! Attached to their very clean barn with horses, a pig and a super friendly dog! Close to Putnam and Danielson. Appropriate for tween kids! We will be back!!

We wanted a quiet weekend away from everything… we got the most relaxing cozy little “tiny house” with a bonus of horses, pigs and dog right there making this an ideal getaway spot! 12/10!!

Can’t wait to stay here again! House was perfectly clean and cozy. Kitchen and bathroom was well stocked with everything we needed. Closet and dresser gave us plenty of room to put our things. So quiet and peaceful sitting out on the porch watching the horses. Check in and out was simple, and host was very friendly but gave us our space and privacy. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Heaven on Earth

If you love animals, a comfy, cozy cabin, and incredible hosts, THIS is your destination! I have MS and maneuvered around the whole cabin with no problem. The hosts Jody and Theresa are absolute Angels and the horses, pigs, and puppies are stunning! So quiet and peaceful! Even sleeping right next to the barn of horses and piggies, it was so quiet and just a dream. Will without question be coming back here soon!!

A wonderful little space!

My spouse and I stayed there for some holiday events that were happening in the area. Space was cozy and quiet. The allowance of pets was great, though our pup was a little concerned about the horses but she got used to them. Jodi was a great host and we hope to stay there again in the future!

Great place for a short term stay! The studio was spacious, clean, and quiet. Lots of natural light due to the many windows in the studio. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and other cooking utensils which made meal prep very easy. The owners live on the property and were very respectful of my privacy. The studio is a short drive to downtown Putnam where you can walk around, have a meal, or sit in the park. Really charming place.

AMAZING!!!

My visit to Killingly Barnyard Studio was in one word, AMAZING!! It is so peaceful, quiet, friendly animals, wonderful hosts, and exactly as portrayed in their profile!! Pristine clean, new kitchen and bathroom, 3-sided wrap-around deck that faces only forest, corrals, horses and deer. There are great places to walk, with the sound of falling water and river to soothe your spirit. I would return in a second, any time! My Best Ever get-away experience!!!

A very special getaway ... Beautiful, warm and peaceful place and lovely hosts!

This is the third time I have stayed here for work trips, but it feels like I'm on vacation as soon as I come up the drive. The space is perfectly appointed and decorated, clean, neat, and with everything I need for cooking meals. I'm cold-natured and I like being able to control the temperature to exactly as I like it ... warm and cozy on snowy days. It is amazing that guests are able to interact with the horses and pigs if they choose, not to mention the friendliest dog ever, Hector. Theresa and Jodi are super responsive and willing to talk about their animals and answer my city-girl questions.

Everything was nice and cozy. Beautiful horses and pigs and a greeter dog named Pete. Only complain would be sleeping arrangement. Sort of uncomfortable, but i knew what i was getting into with a sofa bed (futon). Other than that not a bad place to crash if you want to get away for a few days.

We stayed on the farm for our first anniversary weekend. We love animals and being in the country. We got married on a farm last year and wanted to have a similar, wonderful, happy experience over Memorial Day weekend. The reality of waking up and looking out over this beautiful property with horses, dogs, a pig and the birds chirping in the trees was spectacular. Better than we ever could’ve imagined. Jodi and her sister are lovely. They were welcoming, friendly and kind. This property is a labor of love for them and most of the animals are rescues. We had the most amazing time. The studio is so comfortable and homey. It’s easy to get to from the highway yet you feel as if you are far away from the rest of the world in a peaceful, rustic oasis. Highly recommend the Back of the Barn! We will definitely visit again soon. ❤️
