Clean and Value for Money

We booked 2 nights but room was not ready (some areas of the bathroom was faulty at the last minute) hence we were being transferred to another hotel for 1 night. Service provided by the staffs is very good. However, the hotel that we were being transferred to is not very ideal. Hopefully if such things happen again, they will transfer the guest to a hotel of similar standards instead of similar price. Overall, Hoang Sa is a nice, clean hotel and is value for money as breakfast is also included in the price when we booked.

Walk to beach

Really young staff and exceptionally good at their jobs. Go beyond to help in any way they can. Almost all things can be booked at reception. Can not speak highly enough about all the staff. Made it the best hotel stay I have had in any country.

Personal Experience with this hotel

Staff are friendly and helpful but within their limit due to communication problem. Breakfast served cold as there is no heating provided. Very noisy during my stay, many china tourist as they made a lot of noises during morning and night as they keep slamming the door loudly without being considerate to others who are staying on the same floor. Toiletries are not replenished daily, I have to call to request for additional. Distance to the beach about 15 min walk, best to watch sun rise (a must)...don't be surprised that many local are already up doing their daily work out at the beach.

Just good to sleep.

The hotel is just fine for a short stay, to visit Hue and Hoi An from Danang, but otherwise it has nothing special and the neighborhood is not so nice. The room we got had no windows except a small one in the bathroom.

Hotel location is incorrect on map. It is much further from the beach, about four blocks from original location on the map. Smelly and stained towels. However, staffs were really nice and attentive.

Modern clean and comfortable

great modern twin delux room, with a bath and balcony. breakfast was delicious, but not all-you-can-eat, maybe due to low season. about 10 min walk to the beach and 10 min cab ride into town.

Good place to stay

Decent hotel room, even without the windows. Clean, great shower, good location, looks nice. We found it very cheap for what it was. The hotel staff are overly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice. When we arrived it smelt a little stale in the room so maybe air it out a little bit. Location is fine too and they have bikes that you can hire. Good for the area.

Spacious room

The room was spacious and clean, and bed was comfortable. In our bathroom there was a leak somewhere as the bathroom was always in a wet state. The bathtub was sort of separated from the floor, not sure how much water has gone into the gap. We went to have a massage in the hotel, and later on we found out the spa is not a normal massage place, but more of a 'special massage' place. Breakfast was very disappointing, we could only choose 1 dish and 1 coffee/tea. No fruits, and taste was very bland. On the topside, service was good, staff was very friendly , and they give us good deal on car transfer from Da Nang to Hoi An -$350 one way. It's cheaper if you buy return trip. We hired motorbike from them as well, which was good as everything was so spread out, so we had the freedom to go further than we could on foot. The traffic in Da Nang is not crazy, so it's safer for riding motorbike. Location wise, pretty close to the beach, about 10mins walking max. Not much choices on street food around the hotels, only along the beach. We went for dinner twice in centre town,a sit was really good.

Decent location, quality varies

Compared to similarly priced hotels in other cities of Vietnam, I cannot say I am overly impressed. Overall, the hotel is fairly modern. However, I had a number of problems. The shower had no hot water and the drain was backed up. Probably because of the drain backup, the a/c unit condensation would overflow and drip onto the floor. Also, the toilet would not flush solid waste until the drain blockage was finally cleared (on the morning I checked out). I informed them of the lack of hot water and it took until the next day before they addressed it. Finally, the breakfast selections were very meager and the cleanliness of the dishes was less than what I'd like to see.

Nice hotel. Excellent price.

The location is a little isolated; but it is very cheap to take a taxi anywhere in Da Nang (maybe 40,000 VND, about $2) or even to Hoi An (300,000 VND or $15, and 30km away). The rooms were clean. The bathroom was equipped with a glassed-in shower stall. The vanity was just a sink with no counter space; but it was clean. You must request housekeeping to clean your room by hanging a card on the door knob outside. This isn't an issue; just that other places usually clean a room by default unless you hang a card for "do not disturb"... so it's fine as long as people staying there are aware. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was not very soundproof and you could hear everything happening in the hallway as if it was in the room. The other guests on our floor were a little slammy with their doors and such too; but we were never disturbed outside of daytime hours. Our sleep was good.

Located in tranquil part of Danang, good service

The hotel was located in the more quiet area of Danang where there are a few local eating places and a small handful of restaurants. The beach was simply amazing being less crowded and waters were blue and clear. The hotel amenities were very decent, breakfast was modest and there was no air conditioning in the breakfast room. Overall, a great hotel to stay in for modest budget travelers.

Friendliest staff, reasonable price

Highly recommend Hoang Sa. The staff were very accommodating, helped us with directions, renting motorbikes, places to go, etc. The rooms are very nice, clean, and comfortable. Their wifi is excellent. If you are looking for a good experience, go here. You can pay more to be directly on the beach, but I just don't see the need to. Cab rides to local bars and restaurants costs only about 30,000 ($1.50 US).

Limited breakfast, but amazing view!!! Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were a bit hard for my liking, but each to their own. Staff knowledge on tours was great and we had a lovely time here. Would recommend
