Ideal location for a couples getaway, but a few caveats. The Big Bend area of Florida is great for boating, fishing and eating seafood, but is not miles of white sand, surfing & swimming. That’s perfect for me because I’m going to sit on the deck & enjoy the views, breeze and sounds of the water. At low tide, beach walks are lovely. Active children and teens might be bored though.
Another caution is that there’s a lot of stairs. If your mobility or balance is limited (old knees?) they could be a factor. Toddlers or small dogs would be challenged as well. Just to be clear, this isn’t criticism - simply a suitably factor.
I enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the area. Perhaps it’s different on weekends during the summer, but midweek in April was perfect. The unit was very clean, comfortably furnished and well equipped. Attractive beach-themed decor. Decks on all three levels give you variety in views, shade and breeze.
